BEST BET: Live High Live Low (9th race)
Ninth Race
1. Live High Live Low
2. Smoken Boy
3. Eye Witness
LIVE HIGH LIVE LOW is feeling good. That turf try at GP two back was better than it looks. His return try was an even effort that can be improved upon today. A fast pace is going to help this guy pass runners. He draws fine and goes for a top barn. SMOKEN BOY is only a 4YO so still improving. What if this guy just likes it here? He certainly out ran his odds in his lone local start when 2nd at 28-1. This guy cuts back a half furlong and should sit just off all the speeds. EYE WITNESS gets off the rail while drawing outside. This horse likes it here and did get an 82 Beyer only two back. Breaking dead last in his most recent didn’t help matters. Is this guy just better as a sprinter?

Here are Scott’s thoughts on the other nine races on Wednesday’s Turfway Park card.
First Race
1. Splendor Glow
2. My Milestone
3. Go for Bourbon
SPLENDOR GLOW ran evenly in his debut and now adds 1 1/2 furlongs. Five of six sibs beat winners and the two best banked 150K/427K. New barn is 1 for 9 off the claim but that sample size is small. MY MILESTONE is better since returning off the layoff. He goes for a high percentage barn and now puts three races together for the first time. Second time going this distance is another plus. GO FOR BOURBON is by a 15% debut sire. His dam went 20-4-5-2 and earned 238K. All 3 sibs beat winners and earned 190K, 347K, and 88K. Works are plentiful. DENIKOS is by a 9% debut sire. His dam went 18-4-8-1 and earned 269K. One of two sibs won and is a multiple winner of 551K.
Second Race
1. Councilwoman Jilly
2. Urban Cowgirl
3. Dr. Bella
COUNCILWOMAN JILLY draws the attack post for the distance and drops a notch in class. Her most recent was too bad to be believed. If we can get an effort like that one only three back then this mare is in the mix. URBAN COWGIRL just ran better and has always liked it here. She goes third off the layoff which is often a good sign. Her tactical speed comes in handy as there isn’t much zip in here. DR. BELLA is often a good price. She is proven at this distance something many in here can’t say. Last race darkens form and helps the price.
Third Race
1. Daddario
2. Bolt Dior
3. Dolce Vino
DADDARIO broke 11th of 12 in her debut yet won anyway. We like how connections are taking their time with this 3YO. Works are perfect. Since this filly won her debut on the sod, she might really take to the synth. A better break will help while the price might entice. BOLT DIOR just missed going this far. She can pass runners and gets good race flow if all stay in. DOLCE VINO just ran a Beyer top yet comes here anyway. Rodriguez gets a leg up for team Maker and is 23% for this barn. This filly puts four races together and can pass runners.
Fourth Race
1. Swiss Slang
2. Azoi
3. Gold Foot
SWISS SLANG just ran a Beyer top and now gets a faster pace to chase. Team Smith are 22% with their repeating winners. This horse can put good races together and has run Beyer tops the last two times that he raced with Lasix. AZOI exits a key race where 2 of 7 returned to win with figs of 78 and 71. Recent figs are a little better but best of all is his closing style and possible double digits. GOLD FOOT will try and get the golden spot behind the speeds yet in front of the other stalker/closers. This inside post helps. Yet to actually win on this surface is the slightest of knocks. SAINT IN THE CITY exits a key race where 2 of 7 returned to win with figs of 74 and 79 (two more finished 2nd with figs of 84 and 73).
Fifth Race
1. Jumping Julia
2. Una Roca
3. Loris Still Curlin
JUMPING JULIA ran well in her first two starts at Gulfstream and both were two turns. She then came here and did next to nothing. Weird, right? A very good barn calls in the shots in Jack Sisterson and we trust him to figure out this filly. Perhaps it is as simple as removing the blinkers. Class drop makes perfect sense and we like how Rodrguez gets a leg up. UNA ROCA found easier to her liking last out and now connections find a logical spot to face winners for the first time. Team Molloy are 1 for 8 with their horses that won their last race. This filly does have some upside with this being only her fifth start. LORIS STILL CURLIN got some solid figs only two and three back. She gets Lasix for the first time and the rail going long.

Sixth Race
1. Flame Dancer
2. Austin High
3. Elle’s Dancer
FLAME DANCER might be the controlling speed. At the least, she will be forwardly placed. She fits this condition to a T. She is a hard trier and exits a key race where 2 of 4 returned to win with figs of 72 and 65. AUSTIN HIGH got a Beyer top in her debut and did so going a tough 6 1/2 furlongs. Perhaps something went awry in her second start hence the time off. That return try was just fine. Her tactical speed comes in handy while last race key when 3 of 8 returned to win with figs of 77, 70, and 57. ELLE’S DANCER ran better two and four back which bodes well for this. She is often a good price and draws fine.
Seventh Race
1. Cachaceira
2. Tuenda
3. Rye Smile
CACHACEIRA has a versatile style in a race that is average pace-wise. That sounds like a good trip to us. She puts three races together so we know she is feeling good. Regular rider tags along while beaten favorite angle applies. TUENDA has run better in three of her last four starts. She was simply unlucky to lose the photo two back. Race flow is OK while new jock noted. RYE SMILE has some speed. One of many that could want the front end. Added distance is the X factor. Team Orantes are 2 for 6 on the stretch-out and show a flat bet profit.
Eighth Race
1. Dr Fenn
2. Hedge
3. Graydaria
DR FENN has good speed and draws outside all pace foes. He puts three races together and he won the only other time he did so. He likes it here and drops in class all as the meet winds down. HEDGE just ran better. Form cycle hints at better. He returns in 13 days so is that too short? GRAYDARIA is capable of solid tries but only here and there. His most recent was one of them. That race came back key when 2 of 8 returned to win with figs of 65 and 72. A better break would help.
Tenth Race
1. City of Life
2. Stormtown
3. Flick
CITY OF LIFE was buried on the rail previously and broke last. That race came back key when 3 of 6 returned to win with figs of 79, 75, and 78. This guy got Beyers of 77 and 78 two and four back. That might bode well for today. STORMTOWN could find the front end and prove troublesome to run down. His last race came back key when 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 94 and 83. Added half furlong actually helps theft plans as does blinkers. FLICK is a hard trier that is a bit unlucky to still be a maiden. Recent figures are rock solid and now he goes second time here. The rail draw is the X factor. INGLEBOROUGH is by a 7% debut sire. His dam went 8-2-4-1 and earned 58K. This is her first foal. FELINE CURIOUS is by a 13% debut sire. His dam went 12-1-4-2 and earned 81K. This is her first foal. OUBLIETTE is by a 14% debut sire. His dam went 8-1-1-2 and earned 24K. Five of nine sibs won.etter, and now she goes second time for new barn. An early breather would go a long way.
