SEVENTH RACE – SARATOGA
4 – Clara Peeters (5-1)

Displayed an exciting turn of foot when accelerating past the leaders in deep stretch to win a good allowance race over seven furlongs last month. Did it in such a manner that suggests she can step up into stakes company and score right back. The English-bred filly hails from a high percentage outfit, has speed figures that are rising and shows a healthy work pattern since raced. At 5-1 on the morning, she offers good value both in the win pool and in rolling exotic play.

NINTH RACE – SARATOGA
2 – Risky Mandate (9/2)

It’ll be no easy task to wear down the heavily favored Indian Pride in this year’s edition of the Shine Again, but the lightly-raced filly seems capable of pulling off an upset based on an excellent runner-up comeback effort last month in Kentucky and a series of sensational workouts since. The Tom Amoss-trained filly was an easy winner over this track and distance last year and has the perfect style for this extended sprint trip. She offers good wagering value at or near her morning line of 9/2.
