Saturday Betting Recaps

Saturday was another busy sports betting day with the British Open and Women’s World Cup on the international stage, plus a full 15-game MLB schedule on U.S. soil.

I’ll leave the golf and soccer recaps to my co-workers as we’ll stick here to our nightly MLB betting recaps, then update the season-long betting stats.

MLB: Underdogs dominated 10-5 on Saturday with the biggest upsets by the A’s (+175 in 4-1 win vs. Astros), Orioles (+172 in 6-5 win at Rays), Nationals (+170 in 10-1 rout vs. Giants), Pirates (+165 in 3-0 win at Angels) and Rockies (+144 in 4-3 win at Marlins). Home teams went 10-5. Unders led 8-7.

More MLB: On the season, faves still lead 839-605 with 25 games closing pick-’em. Home teams lead 763-702 with 4 neutral-site games after going 10-5 on Saturday after road teams had been cutting into lead recently. Unders improved slim lead to 707-700-61 with 1 no-action.
