7:20 p.m. ET: Minnesota Twins at Atlanta Braves (-200, 8.5)

The Twins (40-39) just took two of three on the road at the Tigers, winning 6-3 on Sunday as -125 road favorites. Similarly, the Braves (50-27) just won two of three on the road at the Reds, winning 7-6 yesterday as -225 road favorites. In tonight’s Interleague series opener, Minnesota hands the ball to righty Sonny Gray (4-1, 2.56 ERA) while Atlanta counters with fellow righty Spencer Strider (8-2, 3.93 ERA). This line opened with the Braves listed as a -190 home favorite and the Twins a +160 road dog. Pros aren’t scared off by the expensive chalk and have gotten down on the Braves, steaming Atlanta up from -190 to -200. The Braves are receiving roughly 85% of bets and dollars, indicating both public and sharp support in their favor. Interleague favorites off a win are 114-60 (66%) this season, producing an 8% ROI. Atlanta has a significant edge at the plate, hitting .271 vs .232 for Minnesota. The Braves are 43-23 as a favorite and 24-15 at home. The Twins are 9-18 as a dog and 17-20 on the road. Pros are also leaning under, as the total is 8.5 with the under juiced to -115. The under is receiving 48% of bets but 57% of money, a sharp contrarian bet discrepancy.

The Tigers (33-43) just dropped two of three at home against the Twins, losing 6-3 on Sunday as +105 home dogs. Meanwhile, the Rangers (47-30) just lost two of three on the road at the Yankees, losing 5-3 yesterday as -110 road favorites. In tonight’s series opener, Detroit sends out lefty Matthew Boyd (5-5, 5.37 ERA) and Texas starts fellow southpaw Andrew Heaney (5-4, 3.98 ERA). This line opened with the Rangers listed as a -185 home favorite and the Tigers a +170 road dog. Sharps have laid the juice with Texas, driving the Rangers up from -185 to -200. The Rangers are receiving nearly 90% of bets and dollars, signaling a heavy combination of both Pro and Joe support. Texas the better bats (hitting .272 vs .229) and superior pitching (team ERA 3.75 vs 4.34). The Rangers are 29-16 as a favorite, 14-8 against lefties and 24-13 at home. The Tigers are 26-40 as a dog, 5-10 against lefties and 15-22 on the road. The Rangers are 6-1 in Heaney’s last seven starts.
