Best Bets on Today’s MLB Player Props Market

We’re in the final stretch of the 2023 MLB season and VSiN continues to have you covered with every way you can possibly bet on a baseball game. As always, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals. However, I’m tackling player props here, and I’m targeting Gavin Williams, Ketel Marte and Patrick Sandoval on Wednesday, September 6th. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting on all of them.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Wednesday, September 6th:

Minnesota Twins (-125, 8.5) at Cleveland Guardians

Let’s try this again. I had Gavin Williams to go Over his strikeout prop against the Twins in his last trip to the mound, but the righty ended up needing to leave the game after the first inning. Luckily it was nothing serious, so I’m sticking with the same reasoning heading into this start. Williams’ record obviously isn’t great this season, but he has had a solid year. And I like his ability to miss bats, as he’s a guy that has had two games with at least 10 strikeouts this season. And all we’ll need for tonight is six, whereas we were looking for seven in his last trip to the hill. Minnesota has the highest strikeout rate in baseball this year, and going against them with strikeout props has been profitable for me all season (without them and the Giants, who knows where’d I’d be?). So, I’m confident heading into this one.

Bet: Williams Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-130)

Colorado Rockies at Arizona Diamondbacks (-218, 9.5)

This might be a Rockies game played outside of Coors Field, but I still see a player prop I like here. I’m rolling with Arizona’s Ketel Marte to have Over 1.5 total bases in this one. Marte has had at least two total bases in two of his last three games, and he has gotten at least a hit in 11 of his last 13. So, Marte is seeing the ball pretty well right now and he now gets to face Chris Flexen. This season, Flexen has a 6.89 ERA and he has been a disaster on the road. Meanwhile, Marte does his best work at home, as he’s batting .302 with four triples, 13 doubles and nine homers in Arizona. With that in mind, I’m expecting a big game from him at the plate and I love that you’re getting it at plus-money odds.

Bet: Marte Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)

Baltimore Orioles (-142, 9) at Los Angeles Angels

Patrick Sandoval has given up at least five hits in three of his last five and I am pretty convinced he’ll do it again here. This Orioles offense can be very dangerous and happens to be ninth in the league in wRC+ against left-handed pitching this year. They also have the seventh-highest batting average in baseball against southpaws, so they’ll enjoy seeing Sandoval on the mound here. Sandoval also happens to be performing worse at home than he is on the road this season, so that’s another thing working against him here. Overall, I just find it very hard to believe that Baltimore won’t get at least five hits in this game. I also think they’ll be riding high after last night’s extra innings victory.

Bet: Sandoval Over 4.5 Hits Allowed (-135)
