Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Friday, July 21st:

Atlanta Braves (-125, 9) at Milwaukee Brewers

Matt Olson doesn’t have a lot of experience facing Freddy Peralta, as he’s just 0 for 3 against the righty in his career. But Olson is still batting .271 with two triples, 12 doubles, 27 homers and 65 RBIs against righties this season, and I don’t think Peralta presents any problems that Olson won’t be able to figure out. Having said that, I like Olson to make a dent in the scoreboard tonight, so I’m playing him to drive in a run at plus-money odds.

Olson is actually coming off a game in which he hit two homers and drove in three runs on Thursday. He’s batting .327 with four homers and 13 RBIs in the month of July, so he’s clearly feeling good at the plate. Why not back him to keep it going?

Bet: Olson Over 0.5 RBIs (+130)

Pittsburgh Pirates at Los Angeles Angels (-180, 8)

Shohei Ohtani has been struggling a bit on the mound, as he has given up 10 earned runs over his last two starts. And the two-way megastar has been absolutely mashing at the plate, as he has three homers over the last five games. With that said, it isn’t crazy if people kind of forget about the value he presents as a starter. But I’m going to Ohtani’s strikeout prop tonight, as I like him to go Over 7.5.

The reality is that Ohtani has had at least eight strikeouts in nine of his 18 starts this season. The righty now gets a crack at a Pirates lineup that has the fifth-highest strikeout rate in the league against right-handed pitching since the start of May. He should be able to wreak havoc against this Pittsburgh team, so I’m playing this at these generous odds.

Bet: Ohtani Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-120)

In the same game, I’m rocking with Mickey Moniak to get a base hit in what is a solid matchup for the 25-year-old. Moniak enters this game on a 10-game hitting streak, and he has actually had four multi-hit games in that span. There aren’t many players in the league that are swinging as hot of a bat as him, and it’s really starting to feel like the first overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft is starting to figure things out.

It doesn’t hurt that Johan Oviedo will be on the mound for the Pirates in this one. Oviedo is coming off a dominant start against the San Francisco Giants on July 15th, but he had given up at least six hits in four of his previous five starts before that. And Moniak absolutely crushes right-handed pitching, so there isn’t much getting in the way of him helping Ohtani out at the plate. This is a hefty price to pay, especially when I usually try and go for plus-money odds in these. But I think it’s worth it for a player that is this hot at the moment.

Bet: Moniak Over 0.5 Hits (-167)
