Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Tuesday, May 2nd:

Minnesota Twins (-165, 9) at Chicago White Sox

Michael Kopech is in the middle of a lousy season for the White Sox. The righty is 0-3 with a 7.01 ERA and just hasn’t deliverd on the promise he showed earlier in his career. The righty now comes into this meeting with the Twins after having given up at least three earned runs in three straight starts and four of his last five. With that in mind, we’re taking him to hit that same mark against Minnesota.

In Kopech’s only home start against the Twins last year, Minnesota scored six runs on him in 4.2 innings of work. The Twins are also tied for sixth in the league in wRC+ against right-handed pitching, and only four teams have scored more runs than Minnesota against righties. This is just a tough matchup for Kopech, and it isn’t hard to envision him being chased early.

Bet: Kopech Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-140)

San Francisco Giants at Houston Astros (-180, 8)

Hunter Brown is 3-0 with a 2.37 ERA for the Astros this season, and he is showing the world why so many people were high on him coming into the year. Brown’s swing-and-miss stuff has been as advertised, too. The righty has struck out 32 batters this season, and he has gotten even hotter with his ability to miss bats lately. Brown has struck out at least seven batters in three of his last four games.

With Brown looking very dialed in right now, it’s hard not to expect a lot of strikeouts against the Giants. San Francisco has the highest strikeout rate in the league against right-handed pitching this year, as the Giants are striking out 26.4% of the time. This is a golden matchup for Brown, especially considering the runs he allows don’t matter to us.

Bet: Brown Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Milwaukee Brewers (-170, 11) at Colorado Rockies

Freddy Peralta is taking the mound for the Brewers tonight. Peralta is 3-2 with a 3.77 ERA this season and he has been pitching pretty well for Milwaukee. However, this game has an extremely high total and the runs are going to need to come from somewhere.

When looking at the Rockies, one player that might make a splash is Charlie Blackmon. Blackmon is a guy that actually prefers to hit lefties, despite hitting from the left side of the plate. But he has been seeing the ball well lately, as he has hits in four of his last five games. That makes it seem like a solid decision to back Blackmon to reach two total bases here. There might be more likely options to do it on Colorado, but Blackmon is going off at plus-money odds.

Bet: Blackmon Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
