The 2023 MLB season is underway and VSiN has you covered with every way you can possibly bet on a baseball game. As always, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals. However, I’m tackling player props here, and I’m targeting Nick Senzel, Justin Verlander and Dylan Cease on Monday, June 26th. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting on all of them.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Monday, June 26th:
Cincinnati Reds at Baltimore Orioles (-130, 10)
We have had a lot of success backing Nick Senzel against lefties this season, and we’re turning to it again here. Senzel’s season statistics of batting .247 with five homers and 28 RBIs don’t jump off the page, but he’s batting .420 with three homers, three doubles and 10 RBIs against left-handed pithcing this year. And Senzel now gets to face Cole Irvin, who is just 1-3 with a 7.71 ERA in 23.1 innings this season.
I like Senzel’s chances of coming through with a couple of hits or a single extra-base hit in this spot. Senzel has struggled since coming off a stint on the IL, but he is coming off a two-hit game on Sunday. So, he might be due for a nice little hot streak now. And it’s hard to ask for a better matchup than this one.
Bet: Senzel Over 1.5 Total Bases (+138)
Milwaukee Brewers at New York Mets (-175, 8.5)
Justin Verlander is just 2-4 with a 4.50 ERA this season, and he hasn’t exactly had many games in which he has looked like the future Hall of Famer he is. However, Verlander is going to be looking forward to this meeting with the Brewers. Milwaukee has the fourth-highest strikeout rate in the league against right-handed pitching, meaning Verlander should be able to miss quite a few bats in this one.
Verlander has had only two games in which he has reached the seven-strikeout mark this season, but that’s why you’re able to get this play at plus-money odds. And I think Verlander will get things on track the rest of the season. He was simply too good last season for this to be the expectation the rest of the way.
Bet: Verlander Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+105)
Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels (-135, 8.5)
It can be a little scary to bet against a pitcher with Dylan Cease’s stuff, but the righty has had an up-and-down season for Chicago thus far. He’s just 3-3 with a 4.22 ERA on the year, and he has already had six starts in which he has given up at least three earned runs. That’s exactly what we’ll need him to do tonight.
Of course, Cease does come into this game on a bit of a tear. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four consecutive starts. But three of those four outings came at home, and he’s a guy that struggles on the road — where he has a 5.05 ERA this season. And I think the Angels are a tough matchup for him.
This year, Los Angeles has the fourth-highest wRC+ in the league when facing right-handed pitching. And a bit more generally, the Angels have scored more runs against righties than all but four teams this season. With that in mind, I think Los Angeles will be looking forward to seeing Cease. And at plus-money odds, it’s hard not to like the Angels to plate at least three in the early innings.
Bet: Cease Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+110)
