MLB Best Bets and Props:

Hello everyone! We are in for another amazing Sunday in MLB, with plenty of games available for MLB best bets and props. Like always, be extra careful when checking lineups and monitoring player news due to the unpredictable nature of getaway games. Nearly every major league team plays during the afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for 12:05 PM (ET) between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles.

Below is my favorite MLB value bet for Sunday, September 8. Always make sure to price shop for the best odds available.

Colorado Rockies vs Milwaukee Brewers

2:10 p.m. ET

I have a bit of a value play for us on Sunday. We are going to target a strikeout prop for Kyle Freeland of all people, and I am going to take the Over.

First of all, the line is set at 4.5. So it’s nothing crazy. Secondly, Freeland has hit this line in four of his last five road outings. During that stretch the right-hander has averaged 6.2 K per game.

Freeland will take on a Milwaukee Brewers lineup with a 25.6% K rate over the last 30 days versus righties and 25.9% over the last 14 days.

If we can get a solid five innings out of Freeland, this bet is a solid value at +125. The good news is that the Rockies veteran has gone at least five frames in six of his last seven road games while going at least 6 ⅔ in four of those.

My only concern is Freeland leaving his latest outing with a blister (five innings pitched, one earned run, five strikeouts vs. ATL). However, he has been dealing with this issue since the beginning of August, and the Rockies have stated it will not be an issue for Freeland’s start against the Brewers. Either way, it would be wise to keep an eye on Freeland’s status before locking in this prop.

MLB Best Bet: Kyle Freeland Over 4.5 K (+125)

*Would take Over 4.5 K up to -120
