However, Adam is off on Sundays, so I’m tackling everything before we get back to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Sunday, May 7th:

Toronto Blue Jays (-130, 9) at Pittsburgh Pirates

Roansy Contreras is taking the ball for the Pirates today, and he has been great in his last two home starts. Contreras has given up just one earned run over his last 12.2 innings pitched at PNC Park, and he had 13 strikeouts over that pair of outings. Meanwhile, Yusei Kikuchi is going to be starting for Toronto in this one. While Kikuchi is 2-0 with a 0.77 ERA at home this season, his 5.95 road ERA is rather uninspiring. He also happens to be a left-handed pitcher, and the Pirates are fifth in the league in wRC+ against southpaws this season. With all of that in mind, it’s hard not to like Pittsburgh to get the job done at home here. The Pirates should have the starting pitching edge, and they’ll be hungry to snap a six-game losing streak.

Bet: Pirates ML (+110)

Oakland Athletics (-115, 10) at Kansas City Royals

The Athletics have surprisingly won two games in a row, and we like their chances of completing the three-game sweep of the Royals. It’s not often that Oakland definitively has the edge on the mound, but Mason Miller is a heck of a lot better than Ryan Yarbrough. Miller is also coming off his best start of the season, as he pitched 7.0 shutout innings and struck out six batters against the Seattle Mariners on May 2nd. Now, Miller gets to face a Kansas City team that has the second-lowest wRC+ against righties in MLB. This is just a dream matchup for the rookie, but the same can’t be said for Yarbrough. For as bad as Oakland is this season, the team is ninth in MLB in wRC+ against lefties. So, the Athletics should be able to get to Yarbrough a bit, and Miller should be able to protect whatever lead his hitters give him.

Bet: Athletics ML (-115)

Chicago White Sox at Cincinnati Reds (-125, 9.5)

Michael Kopech is coming off his best start of the season, as he gave up just one earned run over 6.0 innings against the Minnesota Twins on May 2nd. Kopech also happened to strike out seven batters in that game, and Chicago ended up winning in extra innings. That was, however, an outlier performance for the 27-year-old. Kopech had allowed at least three earned runs in his previous three starts heading into that one, and he had also done so in four of his previous five. With that in mind, it’s hard not to like the Reds to score at least three runs on Kopech in this game. It also doesn’t hurt that Kopech has largely struggled on the road throughout his career.

Bet: Kopech Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+110)
