Los Angeles Angels vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Angels starting pitcher José Soriano has already allowed a pair of home runs this season after surrendering only eight during the 2024 season across 22 appearances. Throughout his career, he’s had command issues, with a lifetime 3.87 Fielding Independent Pitching (FIP) and three walks per nine innings. Rays starter Zack Littell has issues with allowing hard contact—giving up 1.3 home runs per nine innings since joining the Rays in 2023—but he limits walks, allowing only 1.5 per nine. He’s backed by a bullpen that entered Wednesday with a 3.25 ERA, good for eighth in the league, while the Angels’ bullpen ranks 25th with a 5.58 ERA.

Picks: Rays Moneyline -128 and Under 8.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Rays -144 and Total 7.9)

2:10 PM Eastern

Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals

Twins starter Bailey Ober is off to another rough start in 2025, allowing nine runs across 6 2/3 innings in his first two outings. He’s also struggled historically at Kauffman Stadium, posting a 6.49 ERA in six career road starts against the Royals. Michael Wacha has been steady since joining Kansas City in 2024, with a 3.42 ERA and 3.63 FIP, allowing just 0.9 home runs per nine innings. He faces a Twins lineup that entered Wednesday averaging only 3.45 runs per game, with slugger Royce Lewis currently on the injured list.

Pick: Royals Moneyline -118 (Greg’s Handicap: Royals -131)

3:10 PM Eastern

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Colorado Rockies

Though Quinn Priester’s lifetime 6.27 ERA doesn’t inspire much confidence, he’s worked on his pitch mix and fastball velocity in the offseason and still has plenty of upside at just 24 years old. Ryan Feltner owns a 4.44 ERA and 4.18 FIP since the start of the 2024 season—which is solid considering his home ballpark is Coors Field—but he’s backed by a bullpen that entered Wednesday with the worst ERA in the league and a lineup that has scored more than four runs in just one of their first 10 games.

Pick: Brewers Moneyline -110 (Greg’s Handicap: Brewers -134)

4:10 PM Eastern

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox

Walker Buehler has had a shaky start to his Red Sox career, giving up nine runs and two home runs in 9 1/3 innings over two starts. However, he faces a Blue Jays lineup that has hit just three home runs off right-handed pitchers this season—the fewest in the league. Jays starter Chris Bassitt has been sharp early, allowing just one run in 12 2/3 innings, but his overall numbers since joining Toronto suggest regression: a 3.75 ERA and 4.08 FIP with 3.1 walks per nine innings. The bullpen hasn’t helped either, ranking 26th with a 5.61 ERA entering Wednesday.

Pick: Red Sox Moneyline -108 (Greg’s Handicap: Red Sox -138)
