He’s backed by a bullpen that ranks second in the league with a 2.86 ERA. Nationals starter Mike Soroka appears to be rounding into form—his ERA sits at 4.86, but his fielding independent pitching (FIP) is a more encouraging 4.10, with 8.5 strikeouts and only 1.5 walks allowed per nine innings.
