1:10 PM Eastern

Washington Nationals vs. New York Mets

Mets starting pitcher Kodai Senga has been dominant this season with a 1.59 ERA and just 0.5 home runs allowed per nine innings. He’s backed by a bullpen that ranks second in the league with a 2.86 ERA. Nationals starter Mike Soroka appears to be rounding into form—his ERA sits at 4.86, but his fielding independent pitching (FIP) is a more encouraging 4.10, with 8.5 strikeouts and only 1.5 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Nationals vs. Mets Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.7)

3:10 PM Eastern

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies

Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela owns a 6.68 ERA and is allowing a whopping 14.7 hits and 1.6 home runs per nine innings. Giants starter Hayden Birdsong has a 2.55 ERA overall this season, mostly coming out of the bullpen, but he has allowed just six earned runs in four starts since joining the rotation. He’s supported by a dominant Giants bullpen, whose 2.36 ERA leads the league by half a run.

Pick: Giants Run Line -1.5 (-135) (Greg’s Handicap: Giants -1.5 (-187))

6:35 PM Eastern

Detroit Tigers vs. Baltimore Orioles

Tigers starter Tarik Skubal boasts a stellar 2.16 ERA and a 1.85 FIP, along with a 15:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He faces an Orioles lineup averaging just 3.8 runs per game, 25th in the league. Orioles starter Dean Kremer has pitched slightly better than his 4.98 ERA suggests, with a 4.24 FIP, 1.2 home runs, and 2.4 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Tigers vs. Orioles Under 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.4)

7:40 PM Eastern

New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals

Yankees starter Will Warren has outperformed his 5.34 ERA, posting a 3.34 FIP with 11.8 strikeouts and 0.9 home runs allowed per nine innings. Royals starter Seth Lugo owns a 3.46 ERA, which drops to 3.10 at home, while allowing just 1.1 home runs per nine innings. He’s supported by a bullpen with a 3.55 ERA, ranked 11th in the league; the Yankees bullpen ranks 14th with a 3.80 ERA.

Picks: Royals Moneyline +129 and Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Royals -104 and Total 7.8)
