Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Sunday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Sunday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m going to keep these much shorter to cut down on my workload a little.

Tyler Freeman Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-117) vs. Twins

Rockies at Twins – 2:10 pm ET

While it’d be nice if this Rockies-Twins game was being played at Coors, Target Field is also a hitter-friendly park. So, with Minnesota sending a hittable lefty to the hill, give me Freeman to have at least two hits, runs, and RBIs (HRR) tonight. He’s averaging 2.7 HRR per game against southpaws this year. Also, even if you exclude his home games, he’s averaging 2.5 HRR per game against lefties.

Luinder Avila Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+160) vs. Royals

Royals at White Sox – 2:10 pm ET

Avila quietly comes into this start having had at least five strikeouts in three of his last five outings. So, while he’s only averaging 2.0 strikeouts per game in two previous meetings with Chicago, this is worth a shot at +160 odds. The White Sox have a strikeout rate of 24.0% and whiff percentage of 27.5% this season. The matchup simply doesn’t get better. Avila should be able to take advantage now that he has some confidence.

Ben Rice Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130) vs. Red Sox

Yankees at Red Sox – 7:20 pm ET

Rice has been absurd when getting to face right-handed pitching this season, averaging 2.7 HRR per game in the games in which opponents have thrown righty starters. Well, it’ll be Sonny Gray on the mound for the Red Sox tonight. Gray has been very good for Boston this season, and one would imagine he’ll be a hot commodity for contenders on the trade market. But I’ll take my chances with Rice tonight.

Additional Picks

Mitch Keller Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+140) vs. Reds

Jack Flaherty Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-101) vs. Astros

J.P. Crawford Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+102) vs. Guardians
