Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Sunday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Sunday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m going to keep these much shorter to cut down on my workload a little.
Spencer Strider Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+120) vs. Rockies
Braves at Rockies – 3:10 pm ET
Strider is making his first MLB start of the season, but I still like him to reach the six-strikeout mark today. He’s coming off 5.0 innings in a rehab assignment, and he struck out seven batters in that game. He also struck out eight the start before. It’s just clear that Strider still has his stuff working. Also, this is a play that OptaAI absolutely loves. Colorado has the second-highest strikeout rate (25.1%) in baseball.
Shea Langeliers Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-140) vs. Guardians
Guardians at Athletics – 4:05 pm ET
Langeliers is averaging 2.6 combined hits, runs, and RBIs (HRR) when facing left-handed starters this year, and it’s Parker Messick that will be on the mound against the Athletics today. This is also a home game for the A’s, which means a hitter-friendly environment in Sacramento.
Clay Holmes Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-131 – 1.5 units) & Holmes 6+ Strikeouts (+166 – 0.5 units) & Holmes 7+ Strikeouts (+345 – 0.25 units) vs. Angels
Mets at Angels – 4:07 pm ET
Holmes is coming off his best strikeout performance of the season, whiffing six in an outing against the Nationals. Well, the righty now gets to go to work against the team with the highest strikeout rate (25.4%) in baseball. Five strikeouts seems like a very reasonable ask. I’m actually going to ladder this up to seven.
