MLB value plays for Monday, June 12

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today’s menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Rays (-1.5, -150) vs. Athletics. Greg’s Line: Rays -1.5, -192.

Many might be questioning fading the Oakland Athletics after they won five straight games, but the Rays should put a stop to this. Even with Oakland’s hot run, they have gone 29-39 on the +1.5 run line this season and are last in the league in overall ERA. James Kaprielian has a 7.21 ERA with 5.6 walks per nine innings and has to face a Rays team that is second in the league in runs per game with 11 different players hitting at least seven home runs this season.

Rockies vs. Red Sox (-260). Greg’s Line: Rockies +186.

The Red Sox are in a tough turnaround spot, having to play on Sunday Night Baseball and travel home to face a former Red Sox pitcher in Connor Seabold, who enters having allowed three runs or fewer in three straight games. The Red Sox offense has struggled with three runs or fewer in five straight games and eight of their last nine games overall.
