The Rockies lineup Fedde faces has the largest hitting home and road splits in the league. The Rockies enter Tuesday averaging over five runs per five runs per game at home compared to 3.5 runs per game on the road, with their batting third in the league at home at .268 compared to .217 on the road, which is last among the 30 MLB teams.
Former Cardinals pitcher Austin Gomber gets the start for the Rockies. Gomber has given up lots of contact with issuing just 2.1 walks per nine innings, but also getting only 6.4 strikeouts per nine innings with 1.7 home runs per nine innings for a 4.67 ERA.
Gomber, whose 30 total home runs allowed leads the National League, has these numbers jump to a 4.82 ERA at home with two home runs per nine innings at Coors Field, all while being back by a Rockies bullpen that entered Tuesday with a league-worst 5.31 ERA.
