Thursday Best Bet Results

Thursday was another great day outside the Tuley’s Takes home office on vacation in Hawaii.
We did our family tradition visit to the Byodo-In Temple (a smaller replica of a nearly 1,000-year-old temple of the same name in Uji, Japan) for some Zen meditation and feeding of the ducks and Koi fishies, and then had a relaxing afternoon on Kailua Beach on the windward side of the island.

It was a buzz-kill as we lost our Best Bet of the day on the Heat +8.5 at the Celtics as they lost 110-97, but found our balance with the Orioles First 5 +115 winning for a small overall profit as they managed to score a run in the top of the 5th inning while Kyle Gibson shut out the Yankees through the first 5 as the Orioles led 1-0 on the way to a 3-1 victory for those who bet out play that way.
We’ve been chopping money the last few days, but we’re still 33-23-7 (58.9%) in May for a net profit of $1,198.73 based on $100 flat bets, according to the VSiN Pro Picks page
Let’s look for more Best Bets on Friday, though the NBA and NHL playoffs are both idle, but we have a couple of plays on the full MLB card.

MLB Friday Best Bets

Rangers First 5 Innings +110 at Orioles: We were thrilled to cash with the Orioles as dogs vs. the Yankees on Thursday, but we’re willing to fade them as favorites on Friday in the first game of this weekend series. We’re also taking Texas’ Jon Gray (4-1, 3.02 ERA) vs. Baltimore’s Grayson Rodriguez (2-1, 6.21 ERA).

Nationals First 5 +105 at Royals: We’re usually not looking to back the Nationals, but we’ve had some success with them recently. Patrick Corbin (3-5, 4.47 ERA) also isn’t someone we backed a lot lately, but he no longer looks like one of the worst starters in the league and actually looks like he offers some value here as a short dog vs. Kansas City’s Jordan Lyles (0-8, 7.15 ERA).
