Friday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Friday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Jordan Walsh Over 5.5 Rebounds (+130) vs. Lakers

Lakers at Celtics – 7:00 pm ET

Three games ago, Walsh had 25 rebound chances in what ended as an 11-rebound performance against the Cavaliers. The 21-year-old has just been awesome this season, providing the Celtics with high-level defense and all kinds of energy. Tonight, I like him to bring more of the latter, so I’m taking a shot on him to finish with six rebounds at +130 odds.

Walsh has had at least six rebounds in 10 of the last 13 games. Plus, Boston will need his defense against a Los Angeles team that is superb offensively, so the athletic wing should get plenty of minutes. We’ll just need to hope he avoids getting himself in foul trouble.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 19.5 Points (-115) vs. Nuggets

Nuggets at Hawks -7:30 pm ET

Alexander-Walker is averaging 21.7 points per game without Trae Young, who continues to be out for Atlanta. Alexander-Walker has also scored at least 20 points in all six of the home games he has played without Young. With that in mind, I’m going back to Alexander-Walker to finish with at least 20 tonight. The Nuggets have been very good on the road this year, but they’re a bottom-10 team when defending spot-up shooters. They’re also bottom-five when it comes to defending pick-and-roll ball handlers. That sets up nicely for Alexander-Walker to keep himself going as a scorer. And it definitely helps that Denver will be missing two great defenders: Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon.

Jaylon Tyson Over 13.5 Points (-125) vs. Spurs

Spurs at Cavaliers – 7:30 pm ET

The Cavaliers have a pretty loaded injury report tonight. Darius Garland, Sam Merrill, Jarrett Allen, and Max Strus are all out this evening. The first two are important when talking about Tyson. In the five games Tyson has played without Garland and Merrill, he has scored at least 15 points in all of them. Tyson has also played between 25 and 34 minutes in such games, so he’s going to be a big part of the rotation this evening.

This is also a game that has a chance to be somewhat high in scoring, and the Spurs aren’t exactly great at defending spot-up shooting. That should mean that Tyson will get some clean looks from 3, but he’ll also do some damage with his ability to get to the basket and finish in transition.

Ryan Rollins Over 26.5 Points + Assists (-110) vs. 76ers

76ers at Bucks – 8:00 pm ET

On todays’ episode of Hardwood Handicappers, I mentioned there’s a good chance I’d be on Rollins. Well, I added Rollins to finish with 27 combined points and assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss tonight’s game for Milwaukee. That’s obviously not good for the Bucks, but it is a good thing for Rollins’ statistics. He’s averaging 32.7 combined points and assists per game without Antetokounmpo in the lineup this year, and he actually has had at least 31 combined in five of those six games.

This is also a pretty strong matchup for Rollins. The Sixers have struggled with PnR ball-handlers this season. They have also been miserable in transition. Rollins is a player that can do a lot of damage in both of those areas.

Let’s just hope Rollins’ usage rate is still up with Kevin Porter Jr. healthy. I think there’s more than enough touches to go around, but the uncertainty is the reason I’m playing this to win a single unit instead of a little more.

Cam Spencer Over 3.5 Assists (+106 – 1.5 units) & Alt Assists 5+ (+190 – 0.5 units) vs. Clippers

Clippers at Grizzlies – 8:00 pm ET

I threw this play on the Pro Picks page last night, as I didn’t see the Over on 3.5 staying at plus-money odds for too long. Well, I ended up being right about that, so you won’t get as good of a price if you’re just seeing it today. However, this is a game in which I’m expecting Spencer to flirt with five or six dimes, so I’d still go Over on 3.5. And I sprinkled the alternate assists on 4.5.

Spencer has had at least four assists in six of the last seven games he has played without Ja Morant, who is still for this team. Spencer has also been flirting with 10 potential assists on most nights, so it’s not like any of this is fluky. This is also a Clippers team that has been lousy defensively, and Spencer already took advantage of this matchup once. On November 28, he had four assists and 10 potential assists against Los Angeles. Another performance like that can be expected here.

2025-26 NBA Record: 152-141 (+7.77 units)
