Monday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Monday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Oso Ighodaro Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120) vs. Wizards
Suns at Wizards – 7:00 pm ET
Ighodaro has had at least 18 combined points, rebounds, and assists in four of the five games in which he has played at least 25 minutes this season. Well, there’s a real chance the second-year big man sees that type of action tonight. Mark Williams was suspended one game for getting punched in the face by Jose Alvarado, so he’ll miss this one for Phoenix tonight. That means that Ighodaro should end up starting, and I think he’ll see a healthy number of minutes.
Ighodaro just had eight points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in a win over the Pelicans on Saturday, and he should similarly stuff the stat sheet in this one. The Wizards are one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to defending around the basket, they’re the third-worst rebounding team in the league (47.7% rebound rate), and they’re the second-worst team when it comes to opponents assists per game (29.4).
Ryan Rollins Over 19.5 Points + Assists (-105) vs. Hornets
Bucks at Hornets – 7:00 pm ET
I was blindly going Over on Rollins’ combined points and assists totals early in the year, as he was lighting it up when he was playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. Now that both of those guys are back, the talented guard has taken a small backseat. However, his total for tonight does feel a little low. Rollins has gone Over his points and assists total in five consecutive games, and he had 25 in Antetokounmpo’s return last game.
The Hornets are also a great matchup for him. Charlotte is weak defending the basket, and the team also struggles to defend above-the-break 3s. Those two areas on the floor account for 68% of Rollins’ points, and I think his ability to score as a pull-up shooter will be big here. Rollins is also averaging 27.5 points and assists against the Hornets this season, so he has had success against Charlotte so far. Let’s just hope Milwaukee gives him a chance to shine.
Anthony Black Over 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110) vs. Raptors
Magic at Raptors – 7:30 pm ET
With Jalen Suggs doubtful and Franz Wagner out for tonight, Black should have another high usage rate for Orlando. That should mean good things for him as a box-score stuffer. In the games Black has played without Wagner and Suggs, he’s averaging 33.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists. He has also gone Over this total of 27.5 in five straight games, averaging 34.8 combined points, rebounds, and assists. Of course, this matchup with the Raptors isn’t all that good. Toronto’s defense can be tough on primary ball handlers. However, I think Black’s overall volume is too hard to pass on here.
The 21-year-old has also been an absolute stud all season. He’s averaging 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, and he’s shooting 45.7% from the floor and 35.6% from 3. He’s quietly one of the league’s true blue-chip youngsters, as he’s an outrageously productive two-way player and has plenty of room to grow.
Cooper Flagg Over 23.5 Points (-114) vs. Trail Blazers
Mavericks at Blazers – 10:30 pm ET
Flagg only had 23 points against the Kings the other day, failing to go Over on tonight’s total of 23.5. Unfortunately, I had Flagg to finish with at least 24, so I lost on that. However, Flagg absolutely dominated in the second half of that game, and he would have gone Over if he didn’t completely poop the bed in the first 24 minutes. Still, the rookie is looking like a dynamic pull-up shooter in the mid-range area, and I think he’s going to get his numbers tonight.
The Blazers are actually 24th in the NBA guarding pull-up jumpers, so Flagg should get some really good looks here. I also just don’t think Portland has anybody that can really handle his combination of size and wiggle.
There is a chance Anthony Davis returns tonight, so Flagg’s usage rate might not be quite as high as usual. But Flagg should still serve as the alpha for this team on offense.
