I only have a few official picks for the light NBA slate on Thursday, February 12. Normally I break things down with two separate articles, but I’m bringing everything under one roof instead of splitting up sides/totals and player props — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Thursday.

NBA Player Props Today

Kevin Porter Jr. Over 7.5 Assists (+118) vs. Thunder

Bucks at Thunder – 7:30 pm ET

Porter Jr. is going up against the best defense in basketball tonight, but I still like him to have a solid day as a passer. Porter Jr. has played 12 games without Giannis Antetokounmpo this year, finishing with at least 10 potential assists in all of them. He has just done a good job of creating advantages for the Bucks this year, and I don’t see it stopping now.

Porter Jr. has had at least eight assists in three of the last four games, and he had 11 dimes in last night’s win over Orlando. Also, while Oklahoma City’s defense is tremendous, the team will likely rest some players with this being the second leg of a back-to-back — and the final game before the All-Star break.

Cody Williams Over 8.5 Points (+100) vs. Trail Blazers

Blazers at Jazz – 9:00 pm ET

The Jazz just announced surgery for Jaren Jackson Jr., which means one less player in front of Williams the rest of the season. However, just looking at tonight, there’s a chance Williams doesn’t have many players cutting into his minutes. This is the second leg of a back-to-back, so this tanking Utah team will likely use that as an opportunity to bench key pieces and play for a loss.

Of course, even with Williams having increased playing time, there’s no guarantee he scores at least nine points. He hasn’t been too reliable since entering the league. However, in the one game this year that he played without Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen, he had 18 points. So, if those two are out, maybe we’ll see more of that. However, even if they’re not out, I like him to continue to do good work as a driver and cutter.

Williams has also gone Over this mark in seven of his last 14 games.
