Las Vegas casinos to close, but some sports betting apps to remain open

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak officially ordered 30-day shutdown of all "nonessential businesses" in the state, including — yes — casinos.

That means sportsbooks are closed.

There seems to be question as to whether Nevada's sports betting apps are open for business.

Circa Sports and William Hill  said their apps would be open. The South Point and Westgate said they would be closed, per the governor's mandate.

A spokesperson for Nevada Gaming Control told ESPN's David Purdum  that mobile gaming, including sports betting apps, will remain operational during temporary casino closures.
