Circa contest update for NFL Week 5

149

The Circa Sports Million IV and Circa Survivor III football handicapping contests roll into NFL Week 5 with the start of the 2nd Quarter for Million and just 1,222 live entrants remaining in the $6.133 million Survivor.
DONT_STOP_BELIEVING-3 and CT TRIGG-2 are tied for the early lead in Circa Sports Million as they both went 18-1-1 during the 1st Quarter (NFL Weeks 1-4) to each win $105,000. There was a five-way tie for 3rd place at 18-2 as walterfootball.com-1, ACTION SPORTS CENTRA-1, PEPPER PICKS-1, TAIL PARTY-2 and WOSSAKOW-2 collected $13,000 apiece. Circa Sports Million also has “Booby Prizes” for worst records, and IEAnalytics-1 went 2-18 to collect $25,000.

The 2nd Quarter will run five weeks in NFL Weeks 5-9 with the same $300,000 in prizes available from the $6 million guaranteed prize pool that had a nice overlay with 4,691 entries at $1,000 apiece.
The Circa Sports Million Top 5 Most-Picked Teams (13-7, 65 percent, so far this season) for Week 5 are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8.5 vs. the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys %plussign% 5 at the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans -1.5 at the Washington Commanders, Cincinnati Bengals %plussign% 3.5 at the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns %plussign% 2 vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
Contestants make 5 plays a week against the CSM lines that are released at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday and don’t change. That’s a big reason why the Bucs were the No. 1 choice as they were up to 10-point favorites when most entrants were making their picks.

In Circa Survivor, the Jacksonville Jaguars were selected by 449 of the 1,222 live entrants as they try to win and advance. The Buccaneers were also a popular play in Survivor with 284 selecting them, followed by the Minnesota Vikings (171), Buffalo Bills (133) and San Francisco 49ers (56).
In all, there were 16 teams chosen by the remaining Survivors and, for the second straight week, there were zero “No Picks” as all 1,222 got their plays submitted. On VSiN’s “The Football Contest Show” (8-9 p.m. ET/5-6 p.m. PT Saturdays), Circa Sports owner Derek J. Stevens repeated that didn’t happen until Week 10 the first two years of Circa Survivor.
