Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 1:00 pm ET
It seems like Bucky Irving will be on the field this week. We haven’t seen the talented running back since September 28, and there’s a good chance the 23-year-old doesn’t see a full workload here. However, it still feels like his yardage totals are a little too low.
The Cardinals don’t have a bad rushing defense, but they aren’t anything special either. Arizona is currently 15th in the NFL in Rush EPA per play allowed (-0.090), and this is a matchup that can be exploited. Well, Irving is a quick-twitch player that can find small gaps and make big gains out of nothing. And his explosiveness is why I’m willing to take a shot on him racking up numbers, even with Sean Tucker and Rachaad White likely to have roles in this one.
Our OptaAI player prop projections also happen to support a play on the Over here. They have Irving projected for 62.77 rushing yards.
I’m also somewhat convinced we’ll see a good amount of touches for Irving. Tampa Bay might head into this game hoping to avoid overworking him, but this team has lost three games in a row. The Buccaneers are now in a fight for the division, so they might not have the luxury of playing it safe with one of their best players.
Bet: Irving Over 37.5 Rushing Yards (-118 – 1.5 units) & Alt Rushing Yards 50+ (+190 – 0.5 units) & Alt Rushing Yards 70+ (+447 – 0.25 units)
Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers – 4:25 pm ET
The Steelers have shown some signs of life defensively lately, but this still feels like a good matchup for Josh Allen. Pittsburgh’s Dropback EPA per play of 0.039 isn’t intimidating anyone, and we have seen some quarterbacks put up big numbers against this secondary. You only have to go back to last week for a game in which Caleb Williams threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers.
Allen also comes into this game after having thrown for at least 253 yards in four consecutive games. The star also threw for at least 306 yards in two of those games. Buffalo has been relying heavily on his arm. Now, the team comes into this one after having lost two of the last three, and that makes it unlikely the Bills stop riding him now.
The OptaAI prop projections also have a pretty big edge to the Over, calling for Allen to throw for 263.48 yards.
Bet: Allen Over 232.5 Passing Yards (-114)
