NFL Lookahead Lines:

Week 13 is the first time we’ll have all 32 teams in action since Week 8! A total of six teams will be off of a bye (Atlanta, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, New Orleans, and the New York Jets), plus we get games on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

The following are current Week 13 NFL numbers posted at DraftKings:

I’ll preface the Week 13 slate by telling you totals will be off the table for games played in outdoor venues this far out. It’s not worth risking hard-earned money over unknown weather conditions on numbers that could move significantly.

Detroit is a consideration on Thanksgiving at anything under 10. Unfortunately, that’s the current number at DraftKings. This number goes up IF the Vikings handle the Bears in Week 12, and the Lions find a way to cover another huge number at Indianapolis.

I can’t possibly get involved with the Giants and Cowboys game. Hopefully the tryptophan kicks in right before kickoff and I’m not forced to watch one of the worst matchups on paper I can ever recall during this great holiday.

It’s early, but the 10-day forecast in Green Bay is calling for temps in the low-20’s and some wind. The Fish are playing really well offensively since Tua Tagovailoa returned to the field. The team has scored 27, 27, 23 and 34 points with Tua under center going back to Week 8. However, it’s a hard pass if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I have Tua at 0-7 in his career when the weather is 45 degrees or colder. He’s 0-4 when it’s below 40 degrees. Green Bay currently has a low temperature of 22 on Thanksgiving night. The fellas from South Beach could be in for a rude awakening.

Maybe Seattle saved their season last week by coming back and beating San Francisco. Couple that with a win at home this week versus Arizona and the Seahawks will have a shot to win the NFC West. I understand the Jets are coming off the bye, but how are they favored? How? They’re 3-8 ATS on the year, and 3-5 ATS as a favorite. The Jets have been favored in as many games as the Chiefs and Bills!! The team has also taken money for six straight weeks. They closed the favorite in five of the six and have lost five of them. They’re a bad football team with an old quarterback, an overrated defense, and non-existent coaching. Who knows, they could win this game by 30, but they won’t get my money at this number.

The Chargers will be flying across the country ON SHORT REST to play a 10:00am body clock game in Atlanta. Suboptimal spot to say the least. They also played a war against Cincinnati in Week 11 and could face a similar game against Baltimore this Monday night. I mentioned at the top Atlanta is off the bye. It’s a tremendous situation for the Falcons. But, I have to trust Jim Harbaugh here. Give me Chargers on a cheap moneyline price. Harbaugh versus Raheem Morris is a complete coaching mismatch, Justin Herbert is the better QB, and the Bolts have the better defense. Miami was just in this exact scheduling situation against the Raiders and won by double digits.

Have a terrific Thanksgiving and best of luck with your bets.
