This game is a perfect example, as the Rams and Cardinals are only separated by a couple of points based on most people’s power rankings, and yes, the Rams are home, but getting to 6.5 here is a bridge too far. I’ll take the undervalued dog here with the Cardinals.

The same logic applies to this pick. These teams met a few weeks ago, and the Panthers were in field goal range in overtime, about to win, when Chuba Hubbard fumbled and the Bucs won by 3. In their last seven games, the Panthers seemed to have turned a corner. In that stretch, they have three wins, a 3-point loss to the Chiefs, a 6-point loss on the road to the Eagles, as well as the aforementioned loss to the Bucs. The Panthers have morphed into a respectable team over the last two months, and this line comes with a huge tax based on the standings and what’s at stake.
