Fulham vs. Leicester EPL Prediction:

I’ve got a good feeling about Fulham this season, and I think they may surprise a few people who have written them off. Some even suggest they may be in relegation trouble due to selling João Palhinha to Bayern Munich for around $55 million.

Yes, he is a superb player, but the Cottagers have reinvested the money well. Emile Smith-Rowe could be one of the signings of the season, and this week, they picked up Norway international Sander Berge for around half the cash they got for Palhinha.

Berge had an impressive campaign in the Premier League with Burnley last season despite their relegation, and Manchester United were heavily linked with wanting to sign him. Expect him to shine even brighter with better players around him.

Marco Silva’s men lost the season opener at Manchester United, but I thought they were a little unfortunate. They contained the home side pretty well. Had they executed their final ball a little better, they could have come away with all three points, let alone one.

Now, back at a revamped Craven Cottage for their first home game of the season, I expect them to get their first win on the board. They have a strong home-soil record and were only minus money on three occasions last term, winning two of those against promoted sides Luton and Sheffield United. They also thrashed Nottingham Forest and West Ham 5-0 in the space of four days as well as taking the impressive scalps of Brighton, Tottenham and even Arsenal.

Luton and Sheffield United went down. I expect their opponents here to suffer the same fate. My main argument is that we should evaluate this game after Leicester was heavily beaten by Spurs.

If they had been beaten 3-1 or 4-1 as they should have been, then Fulham would be going off here around -150. Instead, they are -124, which feels like a lot of margin to me.

Tottenham wasted countless chances on Monday, but Fulham have a proven goalscorer in Rodrigo Muniz. He saves his best form for home fixtures, where he has scored seven goals in his last eight league games.

Leicester relied on 37-year-old Jamie Vardy to inspire them to a point in their opener. He is not fit, swigging energy drinks at halftime, and spending the next day in an oxygen tent trying to recover. It is not sustainable.

Fulham have something about them this season and certainly enough to pick up all three points on Saturday. Playing them on the moneyline is my bet of the weekend.

EPL Best Bet: Fulham to win at -124.
