Nitto ATP Finals tennis best bets: Medvedev vs. Alcaraz – Friday, November 17
There isn’t much time left in the 2023 tennis season, but the Nitto ATP Finals should help us go out with a bang. The ATP Tour’s top players are in Turin, Italy for this year-end event and we’re getting close to the knockout portion of the tournament. This is a tournament in which a lot of pride — and even more money — is on the line. So, these players all badly want to win. With that in mind, I’ll be providing you with daily tennis bets for the rest of the week, and that continues with my plays on Friday, November 17.

Daniil Medvedev vs. Carlos Alcaraz
This price seems very off to me. In fact, it’s so odd that it’s actually scaring me a bit. But I’m going with my instincts and putting a big play on Alcaraz. Medvedev is already through to the semifinals because of his straight-set wins over Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev in group play. However, Alcaraz needs to win in order to have a chance of getting to the semifinals. With that in mind, this match means a lot more to Alcaraz, who is already the better player between these two. And Medvedev is going to need his legs in order to have a shot at winning this tournament, as he relies mostly on defense to win matches. So, why exactly would he try and expend a lot of energy to win a meaningless match? I think Medvedev is going to come out and play more aggressive than ever, trying to win points in a hurry and get off the court as soon as he can. That’s not what Medvedev does best, which gives Alcaraz a big edge here. Alcaraz also played a flawless match in his win over Rublev, so I think he has momentum here. I also think Alcaraz will want revenge after having lost to Medvedev at the US Open.
