That’s a wrap on NFL Week 1.

The Vikings came alive with 21 fourth-quarter points to beat the Bears 27-24 Monday night. Minnesota closed as a 1.5-point favorite at DraftKings, but the game was a pick’em at Circa. The Total went Over 43.5.

Las Vegas sports bettor Sean “No Chop” Perry, who celebrated too early on his $200K bet on the Ravens on Sunday night, did it again — losing another $100K on the Bears.

So there is some solice in watching my hometown team spit the bit in the fourth quarter.

Dave Tuley’s Week 1 ATS report: Favorites finished Week 1 by going 11-3 SU (2 pick-ems (TB-ATL and MIN-CHI), but splitting 7-7 ATS; home teams still led 8-7 SU & 9-6 ATS (60%) with 1 neutral-site game (KC-LAC). Unders still led 12-4 (75%).

On to Week 2 . . .

A big line move Monday came in the 49ers-Saints game after San Francisco revealed injuries to Brock Purdy (left shoulder/toe, status uncertain), George Kittle (hamstring, out a few weeks) and Jauan Jennings (shoulder, still probable). The lookahead line was 49ers -7 and -6.5 post-game, but moved to -4.5. Mac Jones would start at QB if Purdy can’t go.

Everything we do on Week 2 will be posted here.

Early CFB Week 3 bets

Steve Makinen’s stability system needs a Viking-like rally.

Steve hasn’t had a losing season playing against teams with a lot of turnover vs. teams with returning coaches and players, but the system is at 9-16 ATS heading into Week 3.

He has 14 games that match the system this week.

Tyler Shoemaker is coming off a rough week, but has three big dogs he likes this week.

Josh Appelbaum will post his CFB Sharp Report later this morning.

Everything we do on Week 3 will be posted here.

As he will do every week, Zach Cohen looks back at the weekend of pro and college action for possible betting opportunities.

Contest Corner

The Bears’ loss eliminated 55 entries in Circa Survivor, leaving 18,145 out of the original 18,718 heading to Week 2.

With only 3 percent of the field out, it was the best Week 1 for contestants in the six-year history of Circa Survivor, as Gill Alexander pointed out Monday on A Numbers Game.

In the Circa Friday Football Invitational, Chuck Edel and the team of Frank Betti and Anthony Curtis are leading after Week 1 with 5-2 records.

In the EdgeBoost Average Joe Contestwe had six contestants with 7-0 records. P. O’Connell wins the weekly prize of $500 in an EdgeBoost account by virtue of winning the tiebreaker (NFL record). If he already has an EdgeBoost account, he’ll get $1,000.

>>See our contest hub for picks and standings.

Average Joe reminder: You can sign up at any point in the season for a chance to win weekly (see above) and quarterly prizes (trips to Las Vegas). And maybe you still can make up seven games for the grand prize.
