How do I know it was a tough weekend for some NFL bettors? I had a season-high three VSiN subscribers write Monday to unsubscribe because they were retiring from sports betting. I blame the Cowboys-Commanders game.
And then there are the 33 former Circa Survivor contestants who had the Commanders. thus losing a chance at the $14.2M prize.
The producers of the Circa Survivor documentary are filming Season 2 and on Sunday caught the joy of a miracle last-minute touchdown followed by the agony of a missed extra point. >>Watch the clip only if you can handle (someone else’s) pain.
I have hung out at Circa and gone to a Knights game with Las Vegas bettors Tom Osmun (shaved head) and Todd “Bubba” Horwitz (red hat), so I could only watch it once.
VSiN will broadcast a special encore presentation of the original Circa Survivor documentary on Wednesday night (starting at 9 p.m. PT).
>I hope VSiN’s Steve Makinen doesn’t feel like retiring today after losing on the MNF Ravens-Chargers Total. He picked the Under. The game went Over the closing 51 with 46 seconds remaining when the Chargers – aided by two pass interference penalties – scored a TD. The Ravens (-3) still covered 30-23.
>VSiN.com senior editor Zach Cohen must want my job writing this newsletter. He does a tremendous job of highlighting the most intriguing market moves coming off a crazy weekend of college football and the NFL.
>On a related note, Gill Alexander and Kelley Bydlon analyzed the awards markets for Saquon Barkley after he rushed 26 times for a career-high 255 yards— the ninth best performance in NFL history.
