Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for June 10. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Shohei Ohtani Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-107 – 1.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 8+ (+169 – 0.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 9+ (+308 – 0.25 units) & Alt Strikeouts 10+ (+558 – 0.1 units) vs. Pirates

Dodgers at Pirates – 6:40 pm ET

Ohtani’s road starts haven’t been as kind to strikeout bettors as the home ones. He’s averaging 8.0 strikeouts per game when pitching in Los Angeles, but he’s at 5.4 strikeouts per game everywhere else. However, Ohtani still has some of the most unhittable stuff in baseball. In fact, his Stuff+ of 114 is good for the fourth-highest mark in MLB amongst starters. Well, Ohtani gets to face a very undisciplined lineup tonight. Pittsburgh has the fourth-highest strikeout rate (23.6%) in baseball this year. And while the Pirates are better against righties than lefties, I still view this as a very winnable matchup for Los Angeles’ megastar. That’s why I’m going with Ohtani to rack up seven strikeouts, and I’m laddering this up to 10.

Max Scherzer Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-142) vs. Phillies

Phillies at Blue Jays – 7:07 pm ET

Scherzer has only made five appearances for the Blue Jays this season. The veteran has had trouble staying healthy as he has gotten older, and his stuff is nowhere near as nasty as it used to be. However, I do think that Scherzer can get by with smoke and mirrors against a Phillies team that has the fifth-highest strikeout rate (23.2%) in baseball against right-handed starters. I know we haven’t seen Mad Max in the majors since April 24, but he started games in the minors on May 31 and June 5. He struck out at least four batters in both of those games. Doing so against Philadelphia will be a bigger challenge, especially with Scherzer not having a long leash when it comes to pitch count. But so many guys on this Phillies team are strikeout-prone.

Matt Olson Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125) vs. White Sox

Braves at White Sox – 7:40 pm ET

Olson is coming off a two-homer performance against the White Sox last night. The lefty slugger has now gone Over 1.5 HRR per game in nine of the last 13 games, and he has gone Over 1.5 HRR in five straight games against right-handed starters. With that in mind, Olson is clearly feeling good at the plate. Well, when Olson is going good, it’s hard not to back him. I know Davis Martin has had a great season for Chicago, but he’s still a righty. That means this is Olson’s preferred split. This is also a road game, meaning the Braves will be batting in the ninth whether they’re up or not. This is also a hitter-friendly park.
