Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for June 2. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Our hosts and analysts will be all over the MLB, which is why it pays to be a VSiN Pro subscriber.

Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Jackson Merrill Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-102) vs. Phillies

Padres at Phillies – 6:40 pm ET

Merrill is in a nice groove entering tonight’s game, finishing with at least two hits, runs, and RBIs (HRR) per game in three of the last four. Merrill is also averaging 1.6 HRR per game when facing right-handed pitching this year. Well, Merrill will be going up against righty Aaron Nola tonight. Nola has been a good starter throughout his career, but he has been lousy in back-to-back seasons. After having an ERA of 6.01 in 2025, Nola’s ERA is up at 5.72 this season. The reason that’s relevant is that this is probably who Nola is at this point. He’s not a front-end starter in a rotation, and he’s not going to strike fear in his opponents. Let’s see how Merrill can take advantage of that. He’s 0 for 4 against Nola in his career, but I like his chances of having a big game tonight.

Pete Alonso Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-112) vs. Red Sox

Orioles at Red Sox – 6:45 pm ET

Alonso is averaging 2.0 HRR per game this season, and he has had at least two in three of the last five — plus each of the last two. Alonso’s HRR per game also happens to go up to 2.2 when going up against lefties, and he has gone Over 1.5 HRR in 12 of his last 18 game against southpaw starters. Well, you can probably guess the hand tonight’s Red Sox starter throws with. That’s right, Connelly Early, a talented lefty, will be toeing the rubber. I wouldn’t be surprised if Early strikes Alonso out once or twice, but I do think the slugger will come through at least once here. I wouldn’t even be shocked if he sends one over the Green Monster.

Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125) vs. Guardians

Guardians at Yankees – 7:05 pm ET

I’m a little nervous about how enticing the -125 looks for Judge to finish with Over 1.5 HRR tonight. Cleveland will have lefty Joey Cantillo on the mound this evening, and I don’t think the southpaw is a good matchup or anything. But I do know Judge mashes against lefties. This season, Judge is averaging 2.5 HRR per game when going up against left-handed starters, and he has gone Over tonight’s total in four of the last five against southpaws. I’m not sure why this one will be any different, especially with it being played in Yankee Stadium. At home, that 2.5 HRR per game goes up to 2.8.
