Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Tuesday, August 29th:

Tampa Bay Rays at Miami Marlins (-122, 7.5)

Sandy Alcantara has had a very disappointing season for the Marlins, and he has been a little shaky in each of his past two starts. Alcantara’s control has also been an issue, which is what I’m looking for tonight. Alcantara has issued at least two walks in two of his last three starts, and I think he’ll do it again against the Rays this evening. Tampa Bay’s walk rate has gone way down as the season has progressed, but this is still a team with relatively good plate discipline. That said, I think the Rays will work some counts against Alcantara, who should flirt with two walks again tonight. And I can live with losing this one at +140 odds. He has hit this mark in half of his 26 starts.

Bet: Alcantara Over 1.5 Walks (+140)

Cleveland Guardians at Minnesota Twins (-175, 7.5)

Gavin Williams’ 1-5 record might not suggest it, but he’s had a solid season and he’s a guy that can occasionally rack up strikeouts. The righty has actually had two games in which he has had at least 10 strikeouts this season, and all I’m looking for tonight is seven. The reason I’m going with him is pretty simple: Williams is facing the Twins. I’m not saying that this is going to be a game in which Williams will absolutely cruise, but I do think he’ll miss a ton of bats. Minnesota has the highest strikeout rate in baseball this season and attacking the Twins with strikeout props has been one of the most profitable things I’ve done all year. I’m not abandoning it now.

Bet: Williams Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-130)

Atlanta Braves (-258, 12) at Colorado Rockies

Last night, I had Ronald Acuna Jr. to come through with at least one RBI in Coors Field and the superstar delivered with five. Tonight, I’m turning to Matt Olson to cash the same bet. And while I’m not quite expecting him to match Acuna’s production, I do think there’s a good chance he has a massive day at the plate. Olson was quiet in last night’s game, which is to be expected considering the Braves faced a lefty. But there’s a righty on the mound for Colorado tonight, and Olson is batting .272 with two triples, 17 doubles, 34 homers and 85 RBIs against righties this season. So, he should be very excited about this matchup and I’d be shocked if he doesn’t come through with an RBI.

Bet: Olson Over 0.5 RBIs (-130)
