Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Blue Jays starting pitcher Max Scherzer is making only his second appearance since September 24, after going 5 2/3 innings with two runs allowed in the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners. However, he did walk four in that outing and posted a 5.19 ERA during the regular season with two home runs allowed per nine innings. Scherzer faces a Dodgers lineup whose 5.5 runs per game at home this season lead the league, while Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow will take on a Blue Jays lineup averaging 5.6 runs per game since the All-Star Break—the best mark in baseball. Glasnow enters in excellent form, carrying a 2.83 ERA between the regular season and postseason with 10.6 strikeouts per nine innings, and has allowed one run or fewer in five of his past six starts dating back to the regular season.
Picks: Dodgers Run Line -1.5 +108 and Under 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Dodgers -1.5 +103 and Total 7.7)
