Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Baltimore Orioles
Merrill Kelly makes his first start of 2026 for the Diamondbacks after being traded midseason in 2025 to the Texas Rangers. He posted a 3.22 ERA with one home run and 2.7 walks per nine innings with Arizona last season compared to a 4.23 ERA with 1.5 home runs per nine innings allowed with Texas.
Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers has been lights out since the start of the 2025 season, posting a 1.82 ERA with 0.4 home runs and 2.4 walks per nine innings. However, the Baltimore lineup entered the series 19th in scoring with four runs per game.
Pick: Diamondbacks Moneyline +130 and Under 8.5 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Diamondbacks +116 and Total 7.6

Washington Nationals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller is off to a strong start in 2026, allowing just two runs across 18 innings in his first three starts. He faces a Nationals lineup that is also off to a hot start, entering the series second in scoring with over 5.9 runs per game.
The Nationals will look for Miles Mikolas to rebound from a brutal start to the season, posting a 12.41 ERA with five home runs allowed across 12 1/3 innings. While the Pirates have improved offensively, they are coming off a 2025 season in which they ranked last in scoring with 3.6 runs per game.
Pick: Nationals vs. Pirates Under 9 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Total 8.3
San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds
Reds starting pitcher Brady Singer posted a 4.03 ERA last season, improving to 3.62 after the All-Star Break as his walks per nine innings dropped from 3.6 to 2.6.
Giants starting pitcher Robbie Ray is off to a strong start in 2026, posting a 2.08 ERA through three starts after a solid 2025 season. However, he is backed by a lineup that has struggled early, entering Monday last in the National League in scoring at 3.2 runs per game, while the Reds rank second-worst at 3.8.
Pick: Reds Moneyline -108 and Under 9 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Reds -131 and Total 8.4
7:40 PM Eastern
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski posted a 4.36 ERA last season but a much lower 3.62 fielding independent with 11.9 strikeouts per nine innings, though command issues (4.2 walks per nine) remain a concern.
Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had a 3.59 ERA last season with one home run and 2.3 walks per nine innings allowed but is backed by a bullpen that has struggled early, ranking 20th in ERA at 4.48. The Brewers lineup is dealing with injuries but ranked fifth in scoring last season with 4.8 runs per game.
Pick: Brewers Moneyline -115 and Over 7 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Brewers -140 and Total 7.9
Cleveland Guardians vs. St. Louis Cardinals
Guardians starting pitcher Joey Cantillo posted a 3.21 ERA last season with 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings and has increased that to 12.3 strikeouts per nine innings through three starts this season. He is backed by a bullpen that ranked third in ERA last season at 3.44, though the lineup struggled, ranking 28th in scoring.
Cardinals starting pitcher Michael McGreevy posted a 4.42 ERA last season but a 4.27 fielding independent and has started 2026 strong, allowing just one home run across 16 2/3 innings with a 2.16 ERA.
Pick: Guardians Moneyline -115 and Under 8.5 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Guardians -132 and Total 7.8
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago White Sox
White Sox starting pitcher Noah Schultz makes his MLB debut after three strong AAA starts to begin 2026 with a 1.29 ERA, though there is reason for caution after posting a 4.95 ERA with 5.5 walks per nine innings across multiple minor league levels last season.
Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan is making just his third start since returning from injury, allowing four earned runs across 8 2/3 innings. He is backed by a lineup that ranks seventh in scoring with nearly 4.7 runs per game.
Pick: Rays Moneyline -130 and Over 7.5 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Rays -149 and Total 8.3
9:40 PM Eastern
San Diego Padres vs. Seattle Mariners
Mariners starting pitcher Bryan Woo is coming off a strong 2025 season with a 2.94 ERA and 9.5 strikeouts per nine innings and has been even better to begin 2026, allowing just three runs across 18 innings. However, he is backed by a lineup that ranks near the bottom of the league in road scoring at under 2.2 runs per game.
Padres starting pitcher Michael King was limited to 15 starts last season but posted a 3.44 ERA and is backed by a bullpen that led the league in ERA at 3.06.
Pick: Padres Moneyline +106 and Over 7 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Padres -122 and Total 7.6
Texas Rangers vs. Athletics
Rangers starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore is coming off a 5-15 season with a 4.17 ERA, though his 3.74 fielding independent suggests he pitched better than that mark.
Athletics starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs posted a 4.11 ERA last season, but his performance dipped at home, where he had a 4.81 ERA with nearly 1.9 home runs per nine innings allowed. The Athletics lineup has been dominant at home this season, averaging nearly 7.7 runs per game, while their 7.71 home ERA is the worst in the American League.
Pick: Rangers Moneyline -115 and Over 8.5 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Rangers -128 and Total 9.3
