Noteworthy OptaAI Player Prop Edges for Monday

Below you’ll find some of the projections that stood out when looking at our OptaAI NBA Player Prop projections. Subscribers have access to hundreds of others on a daily basis!

Karl-Anthony Towns Under 12.5 Rebounds (-130) vs. Nets

Knicks at Nets – 7:30 pm ET

The OptaAI player prop projections have Towns going for 10.40 rebounds tonight. That’s well below his total of 12.5, which is also his season average. However, this is a game that could turn into a blowout, with the Knicks favored by 13.5. That said, there’s a chance Towns doesn’t even play much in the fourth quarter. That adds to the value in going Under.

Draymond Green Over 5.5 Assists (-146) vs. Jazz

Jazz at Warriors – 10:00 pm ET

Green is projected to have 7.31 assists tonight against the Jazz. The 35-year-old is questionable with a foot injury tonight, so there’s no guarantee he’ll play. However, he has had at least six assists in four consecutive games, and this Jazz defense is near the bottom of the league in defensive rating (119.5). This is a good matchup for Green to find some teammates.

Jaden McDaniels Over 13.5 Points (-129) vs. Kings

Timberwolves at Kings – 10:00 pm ET

McDaniels only had 13 points last game, but he had 15 points in back-to-back games before that. Tonight, our projections have him finishing with 18.26. That’s a pretty nice edge to the Over. The Kings also happen to be miserable defensively, so this is a pretty good matchup for him. However, he did score only 13 points against Sacramento on November 14.

Monday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Monday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Cooper Flagg Over 6.5 Rebounds (+100) vs. Heat

Mavericks at Heat – 7:30 pm ET

Flagg has had at least seven rebounds in back-to-back games, and he has also hit the mark in eight of the last 13. Flagg has also had a ton of rebound opportunities lately. Two games ago, the rookie had 11 rebound chances against the Pelicans. He then followed that up with 15 rebound chances against the Grizzlies. With Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II out, Dallas simply needs Flagg to play bigger, so it’s nice to see him obliging.

Tonight, there should also be more opportunities than normal for Flagg to grab boards. The Heat play at the fastest pace in the NBA, meaning more shots will go up. That’s never a bad thing. More shots should mean more misses.

Derik Queen Over 4.5 Assists (+100 – 1.5 units) & Alt Assists 6+ (+155 – 0.5 units) & Alt Assists 7+ (+320 – 0.25 units) vs. Bulls

Bulls at Pelicans – 8:00 pm ET

Queen is averaging 8.2 potential assists and 6.0 adjusted assists per game over the last six contests. He has also played at least 30 minutes in three straight games. His role with this New Orleans team is just getting bigger and bigger, giving him more opportunities to show off his special passing. And tonight, against a Chicago team that plays fast and doesn’t play much defense, he should show out as a playmaker.

Some other decent passers at his position have played well against this same defense. Alex Sarr had four assists, Bam Adebayo had five, Victor Wembanyama had five, Karl-Anthony Towns had five, and Domantas Sabonis had six. Queen is a better passer than all of those guys, so I like him to have at least five dimes here. I’m also sprinkling on him to have six or seven.

Moses Moody Over 12.5 Points (-114) vs. Jazz

Jazz at Warriors – 10:00 pm ET

I mentioned on today’s Hardwood Handicappers that I didn’t have time to talk about this game, but I did say I might add a prop play for it. Well, I’m taking Moody to finish with at least 13 points. Moody has been in a bit of a slump since his 32-point explosion against the Pelicans on November 16, and he has only had at least 13 points in six of the 16 games he has played this year. However, the Jazz are 26th in the NBA in defensive rating (119.5) and they’re giving up more 3s per game (15.6) than any other team in the league.

This is just a great matchup for a spot-up shooter, which is precisely what Moody is. Utah is 25th in the league in guarding spot-up shooting, and 45% of Moody’s points come on those looks. OptaAI actually has Moody going for 16.09.
