Super Bowl Prop Bets

One of the many things that I love about the Super Bowl is how early the props are put out! We still have over a week until the game, but have a full complement of props available. Matt Brown and I will cover all the props, from players’ yardage to National Anthem length, on VSiN’s Super Bowl Prop Show on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. Make sure to tune in on DK Network or VSiN to get the breakdowns on all the props! Let’s look at a couple of my Super Bowl prop best bets already in my account leading up to the game.

Highest Scoring Quarter

I am going to work backward on this prop. The first Quarter has traditionally been an Under quarter in the Super Bowl, which logically makes sense. You would expect teams to be tight and play closer to the vest since you do not want to fall behind, so let’s eliminate the first.

Top NFL Resources:

Now, this Chiefs team has been lights out on defense in the second half and also struggled to put points on the board. We have seen second halves go Under in 18 of 20 Chiefs games this season, but it is even more drastic, 19 of 20, to the under in the 4th quarter.

Currently, the fourth quarter is the favorite, which is just wrong based on how this Chiefs team has played. Let’s take the second favorite, the second quarter, at a nice plus number here to be the highest-scoring quarter.

Super Bowl Prop Best Bet: Second Quarter +165

Most Receiving Yards in the Game

When you break down this prop, part of the handicap has to be with the quarterback. Mahomes is lined 14 yards higher than Purdy, which I agree with, and has fewer receiving targets than Purdy. The combination of Samuel, Aiyuk, and Kittle can be a nightmare to defend, but when you are looking for who will have the most yards, they will tend to cut into each other’s upside.

With the Chiefs, it’s just a two-headed monster: Kelce and Rice. Both are target monsters, but Rice will have less attention from the 49ers defense, and the price is better. He has the best chance of any receiving to go over 100 yards, and that should be enough to get the job done here.

Super Bowl Prop Best Bet: Rashee Rice +320

McCaffrey Rush Yards

I’m still in shock that Baltimore did not come out running the football against Kansas City. They are much worse against the run than the pass, and San Francisco will take advantage of that. I expect McCaffrey to get a heavy workload on the ground. We have seen his prop already be bet up, but there is still plenty of room to run here. I want to bet this as early as possible since it will be 3-5 yards higher by kickoff than what we are seeing now.

Super Bowl Prop Best Bet: Over 89.5 Rush Yards
