Tuesday NHL Best Bet, Monday Recaps

Monday was spent driving back from Flagstaff, Arizona. It was a nice weekend getaway, but it felt great to get back to the friendly confines of the Tuley’s Takes home office.
However, it was a letdown as I lost my Best Bet of the day on a parlay of Flyers-Flames 1P Over -145 and Kraken-Devils 1P Over -145 as both games were nearly scoreless for the first 20 minutes. The Flyers were the only team to score as the 1P scores were 1-0 and 0-0.

Let’s recap the rest of Monday’s (full-game) betting action and look for more plays on Tuesday. We’re in a bit of a slump with our NHL 1P Over/Unders, but we still have faith and will trust the process gets us back on the profitable path.

Monday Recaps

CBB: No. 3 Kansas beat No. 24 TCU 63-58 in Monday’s only game involving Top 25 teams, but it was actually an upset as the Jayhawks closed as 3-point road underdogs and +140 on the money line in the Big 12 battle (game stayed way Under the betting total of 152.5 points).

NHL: Underdogs went 4-2 Monday with upsets by the Flyers (+205 in 4-3 win at the Flames), Sharks (+140 in 4-0 win vs. Kraken) and Islanders (+135 in 4-2 win at Penguins). Home/road teams split 3-3. Unders led 3-1-2 with pushes in Ducks-Panthers (7) and Islanders-Penguins (6).

Tuesday NHL Best Bets

Kings-Wild 1P Under 1.5 +120: Let’s mix this up and go with a straight bet as our top play of the day. We’ve included the Wild in a few parlays lately that lost because the 1P Overs they were paired with lost. The Wild are on an 8-game 1P Under run, 18-2 in their last 20 and 35-21 (62.5%) on the season. The Kings are around .500 (28-29) with 1P Unders for a combined 63-50 (55.8%) between the two teams, but we’re getting +120. We’re hoping for a scoreless 20 minutes but we can afford one goal to sneak into the net.

Ducks-Lightning 1P Over -175 / Canucks-Predators 1P Over -175 (parlay pays +147): The Ducks have been letting us down lately, but they’re still the No. 3 1P Over team and came through last night with a 2-0 lead after the first period to improve to 38-18 on the season. The Lightning is a Top 10 1P Over team and these two teams are a combined 68-43 (61.3%). Meanwhile, the Canucks are still the No. 1 1P Over team at 43-13, including 9 straight, 16-2 in their last 18. With the Predators, they’re a combined 71-39 (64.5%) and hopefully bring home this parlay at +147.
