College football starts Saturday, which means it’s time to put Steve Makinen’s Stability System to work.
Steve is out with his Week 0 plays based on his College Football Stability System.
The concept is pretty simple: College football teams that are stable — returning coaches and starters at key positions — tend to perform better early in the season against teams that have undergone significant offseason turnover.
And historically, the betting market hasn’t fully accounted for that advantage.
Steve had a rare losing season with the system in 2025 (30-36 ATS), so he went back to the drawing board to better account for the changing college football landscape.
Here is a new system for 2026:
Play ON any team with a Stability Score edge of 6+ in non-conference games during the first four weeks of the season, excluding games with a point spread of -30 or higher for either team.
302-243-12 ATS (55.4%) since 2013
And we have three Week 0 matches:
🎯 Eastern Michigan -9.5 vs. Sacramento State
🎯 Hawaii +5.5 vs. Stanford
🎯 UNLV -5.5 vs. Memphis
Tim Murray and Matt Youmans are headed there.
They’ll host Wednesday’s edition of VSiN PrimeTime live from Hawaii from 7-10 p.m. ET ahead of Saturday’s Hawaii-Stanford game.
The trip is sponsored by our friends at Rainbow Authentics, the place to go for University of Hawai’i apparel and memorabilia.
After the Browns announced Deshaun Watson as their Week 1 QB, the line moved from Cleveland +7.5 to (checks notes) +7.5 vs. Jacksonville.
But first, there’s another week of preseason football.
Neither Watson nor Shedeur Sanders is expected to play this week against the Patriots (-2.5). Instead, we’ll see Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green.
And once again, Adam Burke is tracking the expected QB rotations for every Week 3 game.

Brandon Pfaadt has been baseball’s most profitable pitcher since returning to Arizona’s rotation June 30, going 9-1 with a 1.78 ERA.
But Greg Peterson sees reasons to expect some offense tonight when the Diamondbacks host the Cubs.
Pfaadt has generated only 5.7 strikeouts per nine innings during that run, and he’ll face a Cubs lineup that leads MLB in scoring at more than 5.2 runs per game.
Cubs starter Clay Holmes has a 2.49 ERA, but his 3.43 fielding independent and three walks per nine innings suggest some regression could be coming.
🎯 Cubs-Diamondbacks Over 8
Greg’s Handicapped Total: 8.6
Monday’s results are posted, and today’s AI-generated plays will be available a few hours before first pitch.
