Call it Week 0. Call it the opening week. Either way, there are eight FBS vs. FBS matchups Saturday, and Adam Burke has already gone through the lines and early movement.
The game I’m most interested in is the nightcap.
🌙 Memphis at UNLV (-5.5, 57.5)
Adam notes that some are already calling this a College Football Playoff eliminator. Both teams have a potential path to becoming the Group of Six representative in the CFP — and one of them could take a serious hit before September even begins.
But there’s plenty more on the Week 0 card:
🇮🇪 North Carolina vs. TCU (-7.5) — The season kicks off in Dublin, where the Horned Frogs have moved from -6.5 to -7.5.
🦬 Jacksonville State at North Dakota State (-7) — NDSU plays its first game as an FBS member, and bettors have already pushed back against an opening number around Bison -10.
🌴 Hawaii at Stanford (-5.5) — Adam thinks Hawaii may be the Week 0 underdog most likely to attract public support, although an injury to star WR Pofele Ashlock has helped move Stanford as high as -6.
And this is just the beginning. As limits increase and more bettors enter the market this week, these numbers should start moving.
