⚽ Tripleheader Monday
Canada’s 1-0 victory over South Africa in stoppage time Sunday was merely an appetizer.

The World Cup serves up a Round of 32 tripleheader today, highlighted by what looks like the tournament’s most competitive knockout match so far: Netherlands vs. Morocco.

Today’s menu (Circa odds to advance):

1 p.m. ET
Brazil (-310) vs. Japan (+260)

4:30 p.m. ET
Germany (-600) vs. Paraguay (+455)

9 p.m. ET
Netherlands (-155) vs. Morocco (+135)

Nigel Seeley likes the underdog in what projects to be today’s closest match.

“Morocco’s consistency over the last few years has been remarkable. They are unbeaten in their last 32 international matches and have conceded just 15 goals during that run.”

Alex Blowers already held a Morocco ticket at +125 to reach the Round of 16, so he’s taking a different approach to betting this match.

⚾ Best Value On The Futures Board?
VSiN contributor Aaron Moore believes the best value in baseball’s futures market isn’t a division race or a pennant winner.

It’s the National League Cy Young Award.

Aaron makes the case for a 30-1 long shot while explaining why laying -225 on the current favorite isn’t the right betting approach.

🐕 Yes, Greyhound Racing

One of the more interesting characters I met Saturday night at Circa was Reggie Carroll, a former Army Ranger from Colorado Springs who spends much of his time helping veterans.

A longtime VSiN fan, Reggie appeared on VSiN PrimeTime Friday with Matt Youmans and Will Hill asking viewers to help name his two 18-month-old greyhounds before they begin racing in West Virginia—the only state where greyhound racing is still legal.

The winning names?

🐕 Bark Musburger (left)
🐕 StormyBarkantony (right)

Among the rejected entries: Pawly Howard and Poops Peterson.

And, for the record, Reggie dismissed my handicapping method of waiting to see which dogs poop before the race as an old wives’ tale.

He promised to let me know when Bark Musburger and StormyBarkantony make their racing debuts.

🏈 John Hansen’s Favorite Player Props
John Hansen will return to host Prop Points as football season approaches. In the meantime, he shared his favorite season-long player props in the new VSiN NFL Betting Guide.

One that stood out:

A.J. Brown Under 1124.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Hansen points to Brown’s recurring knee issues, increased competition for targets and Fantasy Points’ projection of just over 1,050 receiving yards.

That’s one of 15 season-long player props John recommends in the guide.
