A game filled with almost as many crazy plays and dramatic moments as there were zeros on the scoreboard finally ended late Monday night when Freddie Freeman’s walkoff home run in the 18th inning gave the Dodgers a 6-5 victory and a 2-1 World Series lead over the Blue Jays.

Game 3 tied the record for the longest in World Series history.

It’s hard to believe Shohei Ohtani could do any more than he did in Game 3. He reached base nine times — breaking the postseason record and tying the MLB mark — with two home runs, two doubles and five walks (four intentional).

But he’ll have that chance tonight (8 ET, Fox), taking the mound with the Dodgers as -208 favorites in Game 4. Shane Bieber will start for the Blue Jays (+168).

Both teams will be relying on their starters for innings because both burned through their bullpens last night. Bieber was warming up in the bullpen if the game continued.

Also not to be lost in the excitement: Blue Jays designated hitter George Springer was pulled from the game after injuring himself on a swing in the seventh. Toronto is awaiting results of an MRI.

In 13 games, only one was decided by single digit (Jets’ 39-38 upset of Bengals).
