Last night was a beautiful four-game slate for us to kick off the WNBA season, and article best bets went 2-1 in the season debut. I gave out four props on X that unfortunately went 1-3, but I’m confident in the process but sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce your way.
We are back in the saddle today with a two-game slate featuring the Dallas Wings vs Chicago Sky and the LA Sparks vs the Atlanta Dream. Several star rookies will be making their debuts tonight, including Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso and Cameron Brink (not to mention stars like Arike Ogunbowale).

Here are today’s projections from my T Shoe Index:
Dallas Wings vs Chicago Sky
Chicago stirred up some attention in the preseason for a fan’s live stream of their game receiving 2 million streams due to the WNBA not televising the game. Chicago also beat down defending runner-up, the New York Liberty. Dallas won their lone preseason game against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Dallas is a 9.5-point favorite with an Over/Under of 160.5 tonight, but my T Shoe Index projects the Wings as 11-point favorites, with a total of 175.5 (!). This bet is a no-brainer, based on the numbers.
Bet: Over 160.5
LA Sparks vs Atlanta Dream
LA boasts one of the more promising young frontcourts with rookies Cameron Brink and Rickea Edwards, both top 5 picks in this year’s draft, while Atlanta returns star Rhyne Howard and had its frontcourt bolstered by the signing of Tina Charles in the offseason. Atlanta went 1-1 in the preseason, while LA went a surprising 2-0, so we’ll see how that translates into the regular season. The Dream are 5.5-point favorites tonight, with an Over/Under of 159.5, while TSI projects Atlanta -3 with a total of 157.5.Â
Lean: Sparks +5.5
