6:00 PM Eastern
Stony Brook vs. Charleston
Stony Brook entered Wednesday ranked outside of the top 295 nationally in both points scored and points allowed on a per-possession basis, while Charleston is fourth in the country in home 3-point shooting percentage at 43.3%.
Pick: Charleston -14.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Charleston -19.5)
6:30 PM Eastern
Towson vs. Delaware
Delaware’s 40.9% 3-point shooting at home this season ranks 15th in the country, while Towson is 280th in 3-point shooting percentage. Towson also ranks 245th overall in points per possession, with their 2-point shooting percentage ranking 335th in the country.
Pick: Delaware +3 (Greg’s Handicap: Delaware -5.5)
7:00 PM Eastern
William & Mary vs. Campbell
Campbell ranks 356th in the country in points per possession at home on offense but is also 24th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at home, with opponents making just 26.4% of their 3-pointers. This should pose a challenge for a William & Mary team that attempts 51.5% of its field goal attempts from 3-point range, the fourth-highest percentage in the country.
Pick: Under 154 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 148.5)
Georgia State vs. Marshall
Marshall ranks 283rd in the country in 3-point shooting percentage, with their strength lying in the post. Georgia State can counter this, ranking 134th in the country in rebound percentage, while Marshall ranks 156th in the same category.
Pick: Georgia State +13 (Greg’s Handicap: Georgia State +9)
Bryant vs. UMBC
Both teams play at a fast pace, with Bryant ranking ninth in the country in total possessions per game and UMBC ranking 42nd. However, UMBC struggles with second-chance opportunities, ranking 353rd in offensive rebound percentage. Bryant is also 78th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage away from home.
Pick: Under 169.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 164)
7:30 PM Eastern
Tennessee Tech vs. Morehead State
Both teams rank 246th or worse in points per possession. Morehead State ranks 322nd in total possessions per game and 342nd in free throw shooting at just 65.1%. Additionally, Tennessee Tech’s leading scorer, Rodney Johnson Jr., has been out of the lineup for the past three weeks, last playing on January 9.
Pick: Under 139.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 134.5)
8:00 PM Eastern
UTEP vs. Western Kentucky
UTEP ranks fourth in the nation in turnovers forced per possession and 13th in 3-point shooting percentage on the road at 39.4%. Western Kentucky, on the other hand, is 295th in 3-point shooting percentage and lacks the ability to fully exploit UTEP’s weaknesses on the boards, ranking just 269th in rebound percentage.
Pick: UTEP +3 (Greg’s Handicap: UTEP -2.5)
Louisiana vs. Texas State
Louisiana ranks 324th or worse in both points scored and points allowed on a per-possession basis. Texas State, meanwhile, ranks sixth in the country in home 3-point shooting percentage at 42.7%. Louisiana struggles defensively, allowing teams to make 36% of their 3-point attempts in road games. Texas State also ranks 67th in rebound percentage, while Louisiana ranks 350th.
Pick: Texas State -12.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Texas State -16)
8:30 PM Eastern
SIU Edwardsville vs. Lindenwood
Lindenwood ranks 343rd in points per possession on offense and will struggle to match SIU Edwardsville on the glass. Lindenwood ranks 271st in rebound percentage, while SIU Edwardsville ranks 169th. SIU Edwardsville should also exploit Lindenwood’s 335th-ranked opponent 3-point shooting percentage defense.
Pick: SIU Edwardsville -2.5 (Greg’s Handicap: SIU Edwardsville -6.5)
9:00 PM Eastern
UMKC vs. Denver
Denver ranks 351st in the country in points per possession allowed at home but boasts a strong 3-point shooting percentage at home, ranking 37th nationally at 39.5%. Kansas City ranks 222nd in points per possession allowed on defense and 318th in opponent 2-point shooting percentage.
Pick: Over 132.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 140.5)
Cleveland State vs. Fort Wayne
Both teams generate turnovers, with Cleveland State ranking seventh in the country in turnovers forced per possession on defense, while Fort Wayne ranks 52nd. However, Fort Wayne ranks third in the country in fewest turnovers committed per possession on offense, while Cleveland State ranks 236th. Fort Wayne also excels in 3-point shooting, ranking third in the nation at 40%, while Cleveland State ranks 259th.
Pick: Fort Wayne -4 (Greg’s Handicap: Fort Wayne -8)
