ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Picks, Best Bets and Golf Odds:
Most of the PGA TOUR’s biggest names are playing this week in Truist Championship “Signature Event” in Charlotte. The rest of the PGA TOUR is 175 miles south in Myrtle Beach, SC for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic.
Brooks Koepka (15/1) is the headliner in this week’s field.
Davis Thompson (16/1) was the runner-up to Chris Gotterup here two years ago.
Several former DP World Tour regulars are here seeking their first PGA TOUR victory including Marco Penge (22/1), Rasmus Højgaard (25/1), Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (33/1), Aaron Rai (33/1), Haotong Li (40/1), Matti Schmid (40/1), and Casey Jarvis (40/1).
Mac Meissner (30/1) and Rico Hoey (35/1) both had close calls with runner-up finishes last season on the PGA TOUR and Kevin Yu (30/1) was the 2024 Sanderson Farms winner and has finished 4th here each of the last two years.
The Event
The Myrtle Beach Classic is in its third year of existence, and global private aviation company ONEflight took over as the title sponsor last year.
Like other opposite field events, the Myrtle Beach Classic offers a two-year PGA TOUR exemption to the winner, 300 FedEx Cup points, a spot in next year’s PLAYERS Championship, and a spot in next week’s PGA Championship if not already exempt into the field.
The Field
120 players are in the field playing for a $4 million total purse. The low 65 and ties will make the cut for the weekend.
The Course
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club is a 7,347-yard, Par 71 originally designed by Robert Trent Jones dating back to 1948 and is one of the oldest courses in the self-proclaimed ‘Golf Capital of the World’ and was the second course built along the “Grand Strand” of Myrtle Beach. This will be the third time that The Dunes has been used for a PGA TOUR event, however The Dunes does have some history with the TOUR having hosted the PGA TOUR Champions season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship from 1994 to 1999 and was the host venue for PGA TOUR Q-School’s Final Stage in 1973. The Dunes also hosted the 1962 U.S. Women’s Open, the 2017 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball, and numerous collegiate events.
Rees Jones, son of Robert Trent Jones, has had his hand in renovating The Dunes on three occasions in 2003, 2013 and 2018, which has helped restore the greens to their original shape while replacing the old Bentgrass surfaces with Champion Bermuda. The 6,000 average sq ft greens will run at around 11.5-12 on the stimpmeter.
The club is positioned alongside the Atlantic coastline with some exposed holes as well as others that have much more of a parkland feel with tight (20–25-yard landing areas), tree-lined fairways and water, which comes into play on six holes, including Holes #11-13 which is known as ‘Alligator Alley’.
The par of 71 is formed by 3 Par 5s and 4 Par 3s alongside the regular Par 4s. The signature hole is the 625-yard 13th named ‘Waterloo’.
No. 8 will play as a Par 4 (usually a Par 5) while the 2023 renovation included re-grassing and leveling all championship tees, building new championship tees on Nos. 1, 2, 6, 8 and 14, rebuilding lake edges on Nos. 1, 10 and 18, rebuilding the practice green and building a new chipping green and practice bunker.
This is not a traditional coastal course though. Although it is just one block from the beach, only the 9th hole gives a look to the Atlantic Ocean.
This course is a bit like a longer version of Harbour Town with narrow fairways, but players do not have to club down as much off the tee, so the driver can be used more frequently.
Weather
The AccuWeather forecast shows rain in the forecast for three of the four days with the wind being a factor only on Thursday.

Selections
Davis Thompson 17/1 DraftKings
Thompson was the runner-up here two years ago to Chris Gotterup. While he has been a bit hit or miss in 2026, Thompson finished 4th in Puerto Rico, and 6th his last time out at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Thompson rates 3rd on TOUR in this field for Strokes Gained: Tee-To-Green and 5th for Strokes Gained: Approach.
Max Greyserman 40/1 BetMGM
Greyserman has been playing mostly in the “Signature Events” this season but drops down in class this week to garner his first PGA TOUR victory and pick up valuable OWGR points to try and get into the top 60 and earn a U.S. Open spot. The statistical profile has not been pretty in 2026, but keep in mind Greyserman has five runner-up finishes in the last two seasons on the PGA TOUR.
Matti Schmid 42/1 Circa Sports
German Matti Schmid had a tough start to 2026 by missing three of his first six cuts and not finishing top 40 or better in any event but has shown some signs of life as of late. Starting with a 9th at the Cognizant Classic, Schmid then was 5th in Puerto Rico and hasn’t missed a cut since. He also posted another top 10 with Seamus Power at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Schmid finished 7th here last year and also played in three Korn Ferry Tour events on this course at the Dunes.
Adrien Dumont de Chassart 42/1 DraftKings
Dumont de Chassart, from Belgium, has finished inside the top 25 on four of ten events this season on TOUR, which include a T-12 in Houston and a T-7 in New Orleans. The two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner has fared well in alternate PGA TOUR events with a 3rd in Bermuda and a 6th in Puerto Rico back in 2024. He ranks 29th overall, but 4th in this field for Strokes Gained: Tee-To-Green.
Kris Ventura 60/1 BetRivers
Ventura finished runner-up alongside fellow Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He ranks 2nd on the TOUR overall in Scrambling and is top 10 on TOUR in this field for Strokes Gained: Off-The-Tee.
Karl Vilips 66/1 BetRivers
Australian Karl Vilips was the Korn Ferry Tour Rookie of the Year in 2024 and went on to win the Puerto Rico Open in his rookie season. He ranks 9th on TOUR for Strokes Gained: Putting and 13th for Birdie or Better, so he is capable of posting super low scores.
