Friday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Friday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.
Jared Jones Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+110) vs. Cubs
Cubs at Pirates – 6:40 pm ET
Jones comes into this start having racked up at least six strikeouts in three consecutive outings. He also just had nine Ks against the Guardians. The righty is in a nice groove right now, and he’s getting the Cubs at a decent time. Chicago’s strikeout rate in the team’s last 20 games against righty starters is up at 23.7%.
Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-132) vs. Orioles
Braves at Orioles – 7:05 pm ET
Trevor Rogers can be a tricky pitcher to hit, but I like Albies to do some damage at the plate this evening. This season, Albies is averaging 2.5 HRR per game when facing southpaws. That number also goes up to 2.8 HRR per game if you just look at the last 20 games. He’s going to be very comfortable in this matchup.
Mookie Betts Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-122) vs. Mets
Dodgers at Mets – 7:10 pm ET
Betts is averaging 2.4 HRR per game when going up against lefties this season, so he should be excited about facing a struggling Sean Manaea. The southpaw enters this game with a 6.17 ERA, and this is a matchup that should go quite well for righties on the Dodgers.
