Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for June 30. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Christopher Sanchez Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (-112) vs. Pirates

Pirates at Phillies – 6:40 pm ET

Sanchez has failed to record at least 19 outs in three consecutive starts, but I’ll take my chances with him working that deep into the game tonight. This total is as high as 20.5 at several shops, so we’re getting good value in running to BetRivers or theScore for it. Also, if you have to play 19.5 at DraftKings or FanDuel, that’s also fine. Sanchez pitched a complete game shutout the last time he saw this Pirates offense. In that start, he had 13 strikeouts. I’m not sure I expect him to be as dominant this time around, but Pittsburgh is a bottom-10 team when looking at wRC+ (89) against lefties.

Cam Schlittler Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+108) vs. Tigers

Tigers at Yankees – 7:05 pm ET

Schlittler hasn’t exactly been eating up innings lately, pitching 18 or fewer in four of his last five starts. However, he has been dominating in shorter stints on the mound and he has been on point with his swing-and-miss stuff. Schlittler comes into this one averaging 11.0 strikeouts per game in his last two outings, and there’s a good chance he has another high-K performance tonight. The Tigers have a strikeout rate of 23.2% when facing right-handed starters this year, so this team can occasionally run into trouble against pitchers with nasty stuff. That’s why I’m going Over, even on a high number.

Nolan McLean Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-108) vs. Blue Jays

Mets at Blue Jays – 7:07 pm ET

McLean has a tough matchup tonight. He has to go on the road to the Rogers Centre and face a Blue Jays team that has a 19.6% strikeout rate. That’s the second-best strikeout rate in baseball. However, McLean is averaging 6.6 strikeouts per game this season, meaning this total is outrageously low given what he does on a night-by-night basis. Also, even in the spots in which McLean has gone against good contact teams, he has delivered. In the eight games this season in which he has had a strikeout total of 5.5 or lower, he’s averaging 6.4 strikeouts per game and has gone Over in five of them.
