Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for June 8. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Monday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Monday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Emerson Hancock Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-125) vs. Orioles

Mariners at Orioles – 6:35 pm ET

Hancock is coming off a seven-strikeout performance against the Mets. The righty is now averaging 5.8 strikeouts per game on the season. The one thing standing in the way of a bigger play on Hancock to go Over 4.5 strikeouts tonight is that he has struggled to miss bats on the road. While his ERA is an impressive 2.97 when pitching away from home, he’s only striking out 4.4 batters per game. Still, it’s hard to go away from him in this spot. The Orioles have a strikeout rate of 23.7% this season, and the number is also 23.0% against righties. Baltimore isn’t the greatest team when it comes to making contact.

Connelly Early Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-143) vs. Rays

Red Sox at Rays – 6:40 pm ET

The Rays really don’t strike out very often. Their 19.1% strikeout rate is very impressive, and it goes down to 18.1% against southpaws. That said, this is a pretty tough matchup for Early. However, the lefty does come into this game having struck out at least five batters in five straight matchups, and that includes an eight-K performance against Tampa Bay on May 8. His stuff is just extremely difficult to hit, and the Rays dealt with that firsthand in early May. With that in mind, I’m dealing with the juice, going Over the low 4.5-K total for tonight.

Yordan Alvarez Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+109) vs. Angels

Astros at Angels – 9:40 pm ET

It’s always a little tough going up from 1.5 to 2.5 HRR, but it feels justified to play the Over on Alvarez no matter what here. This season, Alvarez is averaging 2.6 HRR per game against right-handed starters, and he’s averaging 3.6 HRR per game over the last 10 games. Alvarez is just scorching hot at the plate right now, and he has an awesome matchup this evening. While Grayson Rodriguez is a pitcher that I like for the future, he carries an 11.24 ERA into this game. He has been abysmal for the Angels this season, so Alvarez should be able to stay hot as he faces him.

Additional Picks

Christopher Sanchez Under 20.5 Outs (-125) vs. Blue Jays

Walker Buehler Over 15.5 Outs (+102) vs. Reds

Logan Webb Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-160 – 1.5 units) vs. Nationals
