Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Spencer Arrighetti Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-117) vs. Guardians

Blue Jays at Guardians – 6:40 pm ET

Arrighetti has had at least four strikeouts in eight of his last 10 starts. Realistically, this is just an outrageously low bar to clear, and that makes it hard not to buy into the righty getting there. The Guardians only have a strikeout rate of 16.1% in their last 10 games against righties, and Arrighetti hasn’t been missing as many bats lately. That said, I recognize there’s some risk with this one. But I can’t help myself. Arrighetti’s stuff is decent enough to get him to four Ks, even against a tough opponent. You’ll just have to search a little harder for this one, as the Blue Jays will have an opener going before Arrighetti.

Freddy Peralta Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-132) vs. Mets

Met at Rays – 6:40 pm ET

This hasn’t been a good year for Peralta, but the righty should be fired up for tonight’s start. He’ll be going up against his former team, which happens to have a 22.4% strikeout rate and 25.4% whiff percentage against righties this season. He’ll also be doing so at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field. This year, when pitching in pitcher-friendly parks, Peralta is averaging 5.6 Ks per game. He’s also averaging 5.7 Ks per game when facing bottom-10 strikeout rate teams in such conditions.

Gabriel Hughes Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+139) vs. Orioles

Orioles at Rockies – 8:40 pm ET

I can’t believe I’m taking a pitcher prop for someone going inside Coors Field, but I love the price we’re getting with Hughes tonight. The righty has only had one other start this season in which he has faced a bottom-10 team in strikeout rate, and he whiffed six batters in that meeting with the Reds. Well, in tonight’s meeting with the Orioles, he gets a lineup that has a strikeout rate of 23.8% and whiff percentage of 25.9% against righties. There’s definitely some room for Hughes to get hit around tonight, as that comes with pitching in this venue. But I think he’ll have some strikeouts.

Ronel Blanco Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-108) vs. White Sox

Gerrit Cole Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+100) vs. Angels
