Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for September 14. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Our hosts and analysts will be all over the MLB, which is why it pays to be a VSiN Pro subscriber.

Monday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Monday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Nick Lodolo Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+113) vs. Dodgers

Dodgers at Reds – 6:40 pm ET

Lodolo has had at least five strikeouts in four of his last six starts, and one of those was a six-K outing against this Dodgers team on September 8. Lodolo is also averaging 5.12 strikeouts per game this year, it isn’t surprising that he’s starting to consistently miss bats now. Lodolo has always been a dangerous swing-and-miss guy, and he’s simply getting back to it as he gets further and further from his injury. Having said that, I’ll take the plus-money odds for him to have another five Ks tonight.

Jonah Tong Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-112) vs. Orioles

Orioles at Mets – 7:10 pm ET

Nolan McLean and Tong both got chances to start for the Mets last year. McLean ran with the opportunity, and he’s already New York’s ace. However, Tong also showed some flashes, and he’s up with the club now. In fact, he is coming off a seven-K performance against the Marlins on September 7. Now, Tong gets to face an Orioles team with a strikeout rate of 23.9% against righties. He should be able to strike out at least six against them.

Will Warren Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+123) vs. Twins

Yankees at Twins – 7:40 pm ET

I can’t say I love the matchup for Warren tonight, but I’m riding his hot hand. Warren has had at least five strikeouts in six of his last nine starts, and he has had at least seven in two of his last three. While the Twins have a strikeout rate of 20.5% versus righties this year, I can’t pass on Warren at +123. Minnesota has also been a little less disciplined over the last 10 games.

Additional Picks

Jake Cronenworth Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135) vs. Rockies

Kade Anderson Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+100) vs. Angels
