Oakland Athletics vs. Atlanta BravesÂ
4:10 pm ET
Chris Sale has been on a tremendous tear of late, striking out 45 batters over his last 5 outings.
On Saturday, the veteran southpaw gets the privilege of completely dismantling the Oakland Athletics, who carry a ridiculous 28.2% strikeout rate vs. LHP over the last two weeks with a 15.1% swinging strike rate and an abysmal 33% chase rate.
Did I mention Sale’s strikeout line opened at just 7.5?
What’s that all about?
The only drawback is that by the time this article finds you, the line may have moved. But the good news is that I am laddering this play all the way to 10 strikeouts, meaning you can jump in regardless of where the line sits.
As of now, you can claim 9-plus strikeouts for +150 and 10-plus punchouts for +290.
MLB Best Bet: Chris Sale o7.5 K (-135)
St.Louis Cardinals vs Philadelphia Phillies
7:15 pm ET
Ranger Suarez is off to a Cy Young-caliber start over rhe first two months of the season, posting a 1.77 ERA and 2.4 xERA with a 53.8% groundball rate.
The Phillies left-hander is tasked with shutting down the St.Louis Cardinals on Saturday, which has proven to be a rather pedestrian task this season. St.Louis carries the third-worst wRC+ and fourth-worst on-base percentage versus southpaws in 2024, while carrying a putrid .211 batting average.
Ranger’s Hits Allowed line is set at 5.5, which seems a touch high considering he has settled Under this line in 9 of 11 starts this season. But hey, we are not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
MLB Best Bet: Ranger Suarez u5.5 Hits (-123)
Los Angeles Angels vs Seattle Mariners
7:15 pm ET
Seattle may have fired hitting coach Brant Brown, but his dismissal is not going to fix the Mariners lineup overnight.
The Mariners sport an abysmal 25.6% strikeout rate versus lefties this season and have been a near automatic cash for Over props for two months.
This is good news for Angels southpaw Reid Detmers, who boasts a 26% punchout rate this year with a 29.9% whiff rate.
This play is worth the juice and may be worth a modest step-ladder to seven-plus strikeouts.Â
MLB Best Bet: Reid Detmers o5.5 K (-150)
